UPDATE (8/30/2016 4:30 p.m. ET): Baylee Curran, the woman who called the cops on Chris Brown today, August 30, has shared her side of the story.
The Miss California Regional 2016 winner told TMZ Live she has partied with the Royalty singer before and he's always been nice, but she suspects he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol this time.
As she explained it, she and a friend got to Chris's house, spent time in the hot tub, and then went back inside, where a friend of Chris showed them a piece of jewelry.
Baylee claimed the guy went crazy when she admired the jewelry, and Chris pointed a gun at her and told her to "get the f—k out." Chris's people tried getting her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, but she refused.
On Instagram, Baylee said "someone" (presumably Chris) pointed a gun to her head.
Meanwhile, in a selfie video posted to his Instagram, Ray J told fans he supports Chris and he thinks people are trying to "make a buck" off salacious headlines.
"I'm not happy with today ... and how people can take a false story and blow it up to way more than what it should be," he said.
UPDATE (8/30/2016 1:15 p.m. ET):
While yelling "come and get me" at police, Chris Brown tossed a duffel bag out his window containing at least one gun, drugs, and other weapons, according to TMZ.
The 27-year-old singer still has not left his home.
UPDATE (8/30/2016 12:55 p.m. ET):
TMZ has reported the SWAT team is heading to Chris Brown's home while the LAPD is obtaining a search warrant.
The police are reportedly attemping to match the description of the gun to a gun in the house. Meanwhile, Chris is posting the videos below — from his house — claiming his innocence and promoting his new song and video.
Police claim they are trying to make contact with the singer.
Original story (8/30/2016 12:10 p.m. ET):
Where Chris Brown goes, trouble seems to follow.
The 27-year-old singer is now the subject of a criminal assault investigation stemming from an incident that occurred earlier today, August 30.
According to TMZ, the “Loyal” hitmaker was in a house with several friends — including Ray J — when a handful of uninvited guests were asked to leave.
One of those guests — a woman who called 911 and filed a police report — claims there was an argument that led to Chris pulling a gun on her.
Meanwhile, a source inside the house claims the singer-turned-actor was sleeping the entire time.
Ray J has since left the home — after his car was taken as evidence — while Chris has yet to be spotted leaving.
Police are reportedly knocking on the door, but no one is responding.
Although innocent until proven guilty, this certainly isn’t the singer’s first brush with the law.
In June, the “With You” artist was accused of stomping a man’s head during a hosting gig at a Cannes nightclub.
Just a few weeks later, he was accused of “cornering” a female staff member — tour manager Nancy Ghosh — and “cursing her out,” among other things.
And most recently, the dancer was fired from his Vegas residency for his behavior.
Clearly, the “Don’t Judge Me” singer needs help.
