We are still reeling in the recent Celebrity breakup that almost torn the world into two yet another longtime Hollywood power couple is breaking up: Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber.
The actors were never married but had been together since 2005. They are parents to two sons, 7-year-old Samuel Kai and 9-year-old Alexander "Sasha" Pete. Sasha accompanied his father to this year's Emmy Awards.
The couple said the following in a joint statement: "Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. ... While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy."
So, we have a lot of feelings about this. They are complicated, they are emotional, and yes, they are valid, because you actually can't think about politics 24 hours a day. Sometimes you have to read about celebrity news, and if that's not your bag, a really good time to click away would be now.
The first feeling is of course sadness, because why does love ever have to end and where does it go and why are things hard?
The second feeling is that they seem like great parents and have been a pretty drama-free couple, so maybe they really will be friends going forward, and if this makes them happier, then it's not a disaster at all.
The third feeling is that if the second feeling is true then why is the first feeling happening? They both seem so normal and down to earth and really good-looking and if they can't make it work, then what possible chance do any of us have? What, you think you're better than Liev and Naomi? You're not! No one is!
The fourth feeling is Anna Faris and Chris Pratt better not get any ideas.
