The anti-gravitational force that is Simone Biles had an ever-so-brief encounter with human error at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
Biles wore heels, a mistake that we as pedestrians who struggle to balance on the sidewalk, let alone on an elevated balance beam with a width of four inches, have made on one too many occasions; but she was presenting an award to Beyoncé, so the evening called for death traps of the stiletto variety.
A fan caught video of Biles as she slipped down the steps and it was posted on TMZ. She’s fine (duh), but with the blessing of Yoncé, she will persevere and conquer.
