The concierge who was allegedly forced by thieves into Kim Kardashian’s Paris apartment has revealed more horrifying details from the heist. In an interview with the Daily Mail published on Tuesday, October 18, the man, identified only as 39-year-old Abdulrahman, claims that he tried to throw the men off by pretending to not know who Kardashian was. After they forced him to open her door with the spare key, Abdulrahman claims he pleaded with the robbers to not hurt the reality star, who was begging for her life.
“I went up to the apartment with the robbers. I was tied up in the first minutes, with handcuffs. I was in the room of Kim Kardashian. One was attacking her, the second one was with me. I saw Kim being pulled out of bed,” Abdulrahman recalled. “We got to her bedroom and slid open the door. She was in her bed. Before we opened the door, she heard a noise and began to say, ‘Hello? Hello?’ I assume she thought it was her sister. The intonation of her voice changed when there was no answer. I felt she was worried. After that, one of them opened the door. The other one was fastened to me.”
Abdulrahman said that Kardashian, 35, was crying and screaming: “Don’t kill me! I have babies, don’t kill me, please, I have babies! I’m a mom. Take whatever you want.”
“I told [the robbers], ‘I ask you, don’t hurt her.’ I repeated it,” Abdulrahman continued. “He told me, ‘Don’t worry, we are here for money.’ I repeated another time, ‘Please don’t hurt her.’ He told me: ‘Keep calm and all will be OK. Don’t move or make a sound.’”
Abdulrahman told the Daily Mail that he acted as an interpreter for the reality star, who couldn’t understand their French.
“One of the [robbers] kept telling her to shut up. I … told her to be calm. I said, ‘You have to be silent, you know.’ She sat down on the bed. She asked me, ‘Are we going to die?’ I said, ‘I don’t know, how can I know?’ … She began to scream again. That’s why he put the tape on her mouth. A long piece of tape, all the way round her head.”
Abdulrahman said that the thieves only left after they saw that Kardashian’s longtime bodyguard,Pascal Duvier, was calling her on her Blackberry.
“I saw his name on the screen and I told them, ‘You know who is ringing now? It is her bodyguard. If she doesn’t answer, he will come here with the police,’” Abdulrahman claimed. “They ran immediately.”
Abdulrahman said that Duvier then appeared minutes later and helped free him and Kardashian.
“When she left, she hugged me and I told her, ‘The most important thing is that we are safe and we are alive.’”
The thieves, who stole an estimated $10 million worth of jewelry, including Kardashian’s 20-carat diamond ring from Kanye West, are still at large.
The shaken reality star left Paris after giving a statement to law enforcement, and has since been aiding in the investigation. "She is very calm and very determined over a matter that was particularly violent," Paris barrister Jean Veil previously disclosed. "If she is summoned to France, she will come to France, but judges also have the possibility of moving [to the United States]."
"She's not doing that well,” Khloe told Ellen DeGeneres during an interview last week. “It's incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we'll get through it together.”
