Important Things About Tiffany Trump From Her New York Times Profile

We haven't seen a lot of 22-year-old Tiffany Trump this campaign cycle—and so far, that's exactly how it seems she'd prefer it. But as her father, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, begins to lose ground with female voters—especially after doubling-down on his sexist comments about former Miss Universe Alicia Machado—it looks like she's being called in to help mend the gap, according to a new profile from The New York Times.
It should be noted that Tiffany agreed to the photoshoot for the article, but not to an interview. Instead, the author interviewed people from an approved list of people close to the youngest of the millennial/Gen-X Trumps (older half-siblings include Donald Trump Jr., 38; Eric, 32; and Ivanka, 34). Because those not on it weren't allowed to speak on the subject, it makes for a rather interesting cast of characters. (Tiffany's mom, Marla Maples, is of course on the list).
Here's what we learned:
1. Although Tiffany kept in touch with her father, he wasn't...super around. She was raised in Los Angeles by Maples away from her father and half siblings who lived in New York. “I had the blessing of raising her pretty much on my own,” Ms. Maples said. One source says he would fly to California to see her get awards. With all his children, the telephone was always Donald's main form of communication, although they'd sometimes hang out with their dad by "watching him work" at his office, she said.
2. She still lived a really privileged life. Even apart from her wealthy father, Tiffany had a very comfortable upbringing attending private schools in L.A. alongside other famous families like, oh, the Kardashians. A friend of her mother recalls a children's birthday party where she was shocked to see young Tiffany in a ragged tutu—only to find out it previously belonged to Shirley Temple. Casual.
3. But despite her wealth, her friends insist that she doesn't take advantage of it A friend of Tiffany insists that she's fine sitting in coach on a flight—in middle seats at the back of the plane, no less—and picked the dress she wore to the RNC off the sales rack at Bloomingdales.
4. In a family of real-estate moguls, she's aiming for law school. Like Donald and Ivanka before her, Tiffany attends University of Pennsylvania and is working on studying for the law school entrance exams.
5. If Instagram is any indication, she'll be playing a much larger role in her dad's campaign very soon. Gone are the days of party pics with her "Snap Pack": Not long ago, Tiffany's past Insta posts may have portrayed a typical young, wealthy party girl, but according to Griffin Carson, a writer who followed her and her friends around the Hamptons last year for a story in Du Jour, she was much more staid: “She stayed in the city Friday night to finish a paper, and I never saw her drink a glass of wine," Carson recalls. “When I would ask about her, she would say: ‘How about you? What’s your job like?’” Tiffany's newly scoured Insta—devoid of bowls of caviar—is much more about the latter image and features mostly campaign photos.
6. She recorded a pop song once. In 2011. It was called "Like a Bird."

7. She's sticking with the family's party line by backing up Donald's claim that he doesn't have a problem with women. When asked about her father's relationship with women, Tiffany echoes her half-sister Ivanka, who has championed her father's record of hiring and promoting women at his company. “He has the utmost faith that [Ivanka and I] can accomplish whatever we set our minds to—just as well as men, if not more so,” Tiffany told Anderson Cooper.
