Ivanka Trump Open Up About father's comments about women, 'Unpleasant'

Ivanka Trump found her father's comments about women 'jarring'

Just hours before the final presidential debate, Ivanka Trump opened up about her father's offensive comments toward women.

On Wednesday during an interview at Fortune’s The Most Powerful Women Summit in California, Trump's daughter commented on the leaked recording from 2005, which revealed her father and former Today Show anchor Billy Bush disrespectfully talking about women.
Before her father takes the debate stage one last time, Trump admitted to Time Editor-in-Chief Nancy Gibbs that the comments were "a bit jarring" for her to hear.
In the 2005 audio recording released by the Washington Post, Trump is heard talking to Bush about his failed attempts to woo a married Nancy O'Dell.
"I did try and fuck her, she was married," Trump bluntly told Bush. "I moved on her like a bitch."
Later in the recording, the Republican candidate began talking about Days of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker, claiming he might start kissing her because of her beauty. Trump went on to describe his aggressive advancements toward women he finds attractive. "I just start kissing them, it's like a magnet. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it ... Grab them by the pussy," he said.
In the Forbes interview, Ivanka reacted to her father's infamous comments, telling Gibbs, "I did find it to be offensive, he acknowledged that it was as well."
Pointing out that the recovered tape was over a decade old, Trump defended her father by saying, "I’m sure he didn’t remember this conversation but was very embarrassed by it ..."
She also explained that she respected her father apologizing to her and the American people, which she, unlike many others, felt was sincere.

Others were outraged that in his "apology," Trump dismissed the 2005 comments as "locker room banter," and though Ivanka admitted hearing her father speak that way shook her a bit, she concluded the portion of the interview by saying, "He’s been an amazing parent to me."
