Pamela Anderson Labelled ‘hypocrite’ by Viewers of "This Morning" For Encouraging The Stop To Porn

The 49-year-old actress explained to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes why she was calling for a sensual revolution and getting people to forgo porn.

“The sexual revolution was a great thing but it also gave us really bad sex,” she explained.

Pamela went on to say: “Because in the age of technology there’s so much access. People are becoming desensitised. The images get weirder and stronger. I have two children and it’s worrisome.”

She called on people to connect with each other rather than looking at X-rated videos and pictures, however said she did not wanr to ban or censor porn.

However, audience members were not impressed by her message and took to social media to criticise the star with many calling her a hypocrite.

“Can't help but think Pamela Anderson is being a tad hypocritical here.... #thismorning,” posted one person on Twitter.
Another viewer wrote: “Definition of a hypocrite- Pamela Anderson #thismorning.”

“And she's in the baywatch movie!!! Hypocritical Pamela  #thismorning,” a third person tweeted.
Despite some blasting her, others praised Pamela for campaigning for a change in attitudes towards porn.
“Really impressed by @pamfoundation on @thismorning - articulate, engaging & still stunning  #PamelaAnderson #thismorning,” said one audience member.

“@pamfoundation brilliant discussion on love & sex @thismorning surprising in a good way & this awareness is needed #sex #love #thismorning,” another wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

“#thismorning THANK YOU for this discussion! So needed! Agree with rabbi, biggest problem in the world is #lonliness Here's to #desire,” said someone else.

However, Pamela - who is a former Playboy model and had a sex tape leaked- acknowledged that it might seem strange that she was talking about the subject.

“I know I’m probably the problem so I should have discounted myself,” she admitted, before saying she had been in relationship where she had been treated badly in the bedroom.
“I never want that to happen again,” she told the presenting duo.

She said that she was objectified by men she had been with: “I think they put that image on me.”

Reflecting on her racy past, Pamela said: “I have some regret, I feel great that I have this perspective and I have a little bit of authority and I have always been treated as an object in a sexual relationship.”

Pamela added about the campaign: “We are talking about having intimacy. We want better sex.”

Along with Pamela, Rabbi Shmuel "Shmuley" Boteach was also on the show calling on people to forgo online porn and connect with their partners.
“Porn is so revelatory that it bores you,” he explained, adding: “The point is you’re addicted to quantity.”

The 49-year-old rabbi went on to say: “I think what porn is that it gives us an excuse not to look for someone, men who are porn addicts they are looking for climax addict. You are supposed to feel passionate for another person.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
