Boy, bye! Maci Bookout’s ex Ryan Edwards — the father of her 7-year-old son, Bentley — gets kicked out of his parents’ house in a preview for the Monday, October 10, episode of Teen Mom OG.
In the explosive clip above, an MTV producer named Jaala sits down with Ryan’s dad, Larry, and his mom, Jen, to discuss their decision to kick their son to the curb after months of butting heads.
“Good riddance,” Larry says. “It was a long time coming.”
Pressed further about the catalyst for his resolve to send Ryan, 27, packing, the exasperated father replies, “It’s just Ryan. I’m over his lies. I’m over his laziness, selfishness. I’m done with it.”
As Larry explains his reasons for cutting ties with his son, Ryan’s mom looks over and appears to be holding back tears. She then reveals that Ryan is staying at her parents’ home, which she and her siblings own together and are planning to sell.
“And you better sell it to him for what you were gonna sell it for, too,” Larry warns. “You better, you better. You better not damn lie about it either ‘cause I’ll find out eventually.”
Though Jen suggests that Ryan being on his own will be good for him, Larry continues to bash the chronically unemployed reality star — and says he has put a permanent stop to their relationship.
“I’m done with him forever. I don’t want him anywhere around me ever,” he tells Jaala. “And I never wanna be around him ever ‘cause I’m tired of that bloodsucking leech. I’m over it.”
Upon hearing this, Jen is overcome with emotion and gets up to cry off-camera. Larry coldly remarks, “I’m not crying about it.”
He continues: “Look, I was No. 2 from day one. Then I went to No. 3 after Bentley. I don’t mind after Bentley, but I’m not playing behind him anymore. Hell, no. If [my wife] don’t like it, she can get her s--t and get out.”
Larry concludes his rant by calling Ryan “a f--king bum” and letting it be known that “[he] wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire.”
While viewers will have to wait until Monday to see what ultimately caused Ryan’s folks to give him the boot after giving him nothing but their love and support, his unnecessarily rude behavior — especially toward Bookout — and questionable parenting choices have been heavily documented throughoutTeen Mom’s run.
Most recently, Bookout, 25, lamented on the show that he repeatedly misses Bentley’s baseball games and school events despite not having a job or other children.
“I think he cares when it's convenient,” the Bulletproof author noted last season on the hit docuseries. “When he has nothing better to do, and that some days he wakes up and I think he genuinely wants to be a good dad and he really tries. Any time something that seems like more fun or something that seems like less work comes along, it's easy for him to use that as an excuse to not show up.”
