Gigi Hadid Launches Her First Maybelline Palette

Gigi Hadid Launches Her First Maybelline Palette

This past July, we witnessed an iconic moment. Dressed in a bright blue sweatsuit, gray lipstick, and black sunglasses, Gigi Hadid was spotted on the streets of New York looking like she was straight out of a makeup campaign (which, ha, it just so happened to turn out she was). We took notice because of her incredible, adventurous-but-gorgeous gray lips, and now it's looking like Hadid is taking that self-assured flair to her newly announced Maybelline makeup collection. The first image of the products just dropped—and they're way beyond what you usually find at the drugstore.

Details from her announcement were few and far between, but a shopping page for the palette just went live on Ulta, so we're finally getting some intel. Dubbed the Jetsetter Palette, it combines all of the Gigi Hadid must-haves for flying around the world on the way to your international modeling gigs (casual). That means a sampling of night and day workhorse eyeshadow, concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, mascara, and a lip balm, all packed into one thin palette.

In a surprise to probably no one, the palette is also millennial pink. Not a complaint. Kim Kardashian—and basically every other beauty and fashion brand out there—understands, the color still hits us right in the aesthetics-loving heart. It doesn't feel just like a gimmick either. The packaging reflects the chic, understated but expensive-looking colors on the inside, and the overall effect is very world traveler. End destination: yacht.

The palette is priced at $29, which, to be frank, is like a globe-trotter's understanding of what drugstore prices are. That said, it does look worth it, and over in the UK it seems like people agree. According to the Boots UK Instagram, the palette is now sold out.

We're still waiting on a time for when the Gigi x Maybelline collection will officially be up for grabs in the United States, but you can sign up for updates from Ulta. (Given the frenzy in the UK over it, that's probably a good idea). For that matter, it's still unconfirmed just what the whole collection will contain. We know fire-engine red and nude lipstick will be in there, at least—but whether they'll throw a curveball with the other offerings, it's tough to say. Whatever comes at us, though, it's pretty safe to assume it'll be luxe-life-approved. We're in good hands.
