It’s the old Fox News chestnut: earn a journalism degree, work your way up to a news room, executive pulls penis on you, stay silent for ten years and then finally come forward after decades of accusations surface in the mainstream media.
Adding to several women to whom Harvey Weinstein allegedly paid settlements in order to silence sexual harassment allegations–ranging from assistants to actresses like Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan–local Fox News reporter (of FOX 11 in LA) Lauren Sivan has come out to Yashar Ali (who broke the story about sexual harassment claims against Fox News anchor Eric Bolling) with a new one.

Sivan claims that a decade ago, while working as an anchor for local cable channel Long Island 12, Weinstein sequestered her in the kitchen of a Cuban restaurant in which he was an investor. He’d taken her there for an off-hours tour and “dismissed” the few staffers cleaning up the kitchen (allegedly a frequent practice in meetings) and made the advance:
Weinstein then proceeded to expose himself to Sivan and began to masturbate. Sivan said she was deeply shocked by Weinstein’s behavior and was frozen and didn’t know what to do or say. Harvey Weinstein has taken an indefinite leave of absence, prompting internal fears for the company’s future, the New York Times has reported.
On Friday evening, Page Six published speculation by “insiders” that the Weinstein Company’s co-founder, brother Bob Weinstein (who remains), may have fed the first details of sexual harassment allegations to the New York Times in a plot to oust his brother. The success of a possible master plan has yet to come to fruition, as the New York Times reported yesterdaythat a third of the board has resigned.
BREAKING: Now Lisa Bloom, who’d surprisingly agreed to represent Weinstein as she’s built a career defending sexual harassment claims, including those of Fox News employees, has resigned. Weinstein is producing the documentary adaptation of her book about the Trayvon Martin case.
This comes after widespread criticism of Bloom on social media and by her own mother Gloria Allred, who said in a statement, “Had I been asked by Mr. Weinstein to represent him, I would have declined, because I do not represent individuals accused of sex harassment.”
