Payoneer has been in the news lately, since PayPal does not allow Nigerians to withdraw the payment from their PayPal account. If you’re in Nigeria and have a PayPal account, I assume you could be having problems with PayPal not ready to allow you withdraw payments made into PayPal account in Nigeria, although they do allow you to open a PayPal account and able to receive payment with it. You can also buy things online with PayPal opened in Nigeria.
However, this has been an issue with Nigerian Merchants, and I will be writing how you can withdraw your PayPal payments using Payoneer card in Nigeria.
Simply, because PayPal does not allow Nigerian residents to withdraw fund doesn’t state Nigerians who’ve residence or an address in a country where you can withdraw money from it can’t use PayPal.
PayPal places both IP address restrictions to Nigeria who wants to withdraw money from the PayPal account and because of this you can’t safely use PayPal with a Nigerian IP or a Nigerian debit card to accept payments. – You have a limitation.
Initially, many Nigerians using PayPal safely do this by making use of U.S billing addresses as well as a U.S VPN service. In these countries, if you have received money into the PayPal account and wish to withdraw them while you are in Nigeria or any other PayPal supported country, this can be achieved safely without limiting your PayPal account. This was possible through a friend or relatives living the countries where PayPal withdraws are accepted.
Today, things are getting better and in order to withdraw your PayPal payment using Payoneer in Nigeria, you need to follow the steps below. Of course, you need a Payoneer account or you can easily register to have a Payoneer prepaid debit MasterCard issued to you.
Payoneer allows customers to function like a virtual U.S checking account which is what their U.S payment service is all about. If you have a Payoneer account, you’ll be able to activate an American checking account and able to receive a U.S account details that can have your checking number and the routing number. I just found out that Payoneer DO NOT transfer money anymore to any Nigerian banks – even domiciliary account. So, in order to receive the money transferred from PayPal to your account in Nigeria. You need to open an account with Skrill. Skrill is an online payments and money transfers company, similar to Payoneer. It’s easy to send and receive money worldwide with Skrill. A friend of mine has tried it out and confirmed that it works pretty well. Their payment is simple, secure and quick online global payments. To sign up with Skrill is also easy as ABC, all that is required is your email address, password and you should be ready to play or pay in seconds.
Keep in mind that you can’t withdraw money directly from PayPal to Skrill. You have to transfer the money to your Payoneer account/card and then transfer the money to your Skrill account and from there to Nigeria. Hint: PayPal to Payoneer > Skrill > to any account in Nigeria. In addition, you need to know also that Paypal do not allow you to send/receive money with PayPal in Nigeria, you can only spend what you have already in PayPal for online purchases.
To sign up with Skrill, Click on this link to take you to the official website of Skrill. Please don’t forget to come back and drop a comment below for others to know how well it works for you. We’re Nigerians and we must survive – since they’re preventing us from global online payments.
