5. Sore Throat Treatment: Kumquats come with natural acids and sugars, which are not only present in the fruit but also in the leaves. Studies show that kumquats have expectorant and antitussive properties that you can use to cure sore throat.
6. For Slimming Down: If you are on a diet, you don’t have to search for another fruit to consume. Kumquats are free from fat, so you can consume them as much as you want. These fruits are rich in fiber where eight kumquats are equivalent to 9.9 grams of dietary fiber. Keep in mind, however, that you need to perform some physical activities in order for your weight loss plan to work.
7. Cell Health Protection: To maintain cell health, kumquats are rich in calcium, fiber, and iron. They also contain vitamin A, which can battle the free radicals that cause cell damage.
