According to a Radar Online report, Will and Jada decided to take a trial separation after both their children – Jaden and Willow – moved out of their home.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith have been the embodiment of that pure and perfect love for more than two decades. So, imagine our surprise and disappointment at reading reports that they are heading towards splitsville.
According to a Radar Online report, Will and Jada decided to take a trial separation after both their children – Jaden and Willow – moved out of their home.
During the separation, they realized that they were better off alone, and decided to make things official. A "blockbuster $270 million Hollywood divorce," to quote the site.
A source reportedly told the site, “They decided on a trial separation and have barely spent any time together lately," further adding, "The reality is that they’re both getting a taste of the single life and they’re enjoying it. It seems like they’re happier apart.” The "insider" further voiced their suspicion that the split might be permanent.
“Their kids are older now and they’ve grown apart, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Will and Jada decided they’re better off separated and make this split permanent,” the insider added. Will was even as quoted as calling their marriage “excruciating,” “grueling” and “like gardening.”
“They’re not a traditional couple in any sense and neither of them wants to feel tied down," said the source.
Over the years, we have heard rumors about Will and Jada being a non-traditional, non-monogamous couple. Their open marriage was even considered an open secret of Hollywood – until Jada debunked it during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
More importantly, the fact that Jada and Will continue to be the beacon of hope for all romantics out there, by showering love on each other every chance they get, made us wonder about the authenticity of this "insider information."
Only a month back Will had shared a photo from their wedding and spoke about what he learned about love from his wife.
Recently, Jada's co-star from Girls Trip, Tiffany Haddish, also recently spoke about spending time with super-couple and from her hilarious story it was clear that they were very happy together.
If you haven't heard the story of how Tiffany took Will and Jada on a Groupon Swamp tour, do yourself a favor and check it out here:
The point of the story is that Jada and Will seemed every bit in love in public, but could they have pulled a Chris Pratt and Anna Farris on us?
Gossip Cop has confirmed that they haven't. A representative for Jada exclusively confirmed to the website these reports were completely “false.”
Further, Will's recent Facebook post also shuts these rumors down, because he credits his wife for being one of his biggest supporters.
He said, "The pre-requisite for spending time with any person is that they nourish and inspire you. They feed your flame. There has been very few times in my life that I looked left or looked right and didn't find a person that believed and supported me."
Further, he said, "From Jazzy Jess to Alfonso Ribeiro to Charlie Mack to Jada, like there's always been a person baside me fanning my flame."
She is still by his side fanning his flame, ya'll. There is no truth to these rumors.
Unfortunately, Will and Jada are not unfamiliar with faux divorce rumors. In 2015, it was falsely reported that Jada and Will had put a “secret divorce deal” in motion to divide their fortune.
At the time, the actor debunked the reports with a Facebook post in which he dubbed the rumors “foolishness” from “dumb people.”
We, for one, are glad to see that love between the power-couple is alive and well.
