The drama continues...
Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Masika Kalysha is opening up about her estranged relationship with baby daddy Fetty Wap in new video interviews with VH1.
The mom of one reveals it was her “understanding” she and Fetty Wap were in an “exclusive relationship” when she got pregnant with their daughter, Khari Barbie, and says the rapper denied being the baby’s father because he was being attacked by the media.
"Fetty always believed me. He just wanted you guys to believe he didn't believe me," she reveals. "There was never any questions between Fetty and I about the paternity of our child."
She goes on to say that it’s “interesting” to watch how he’s changed and explains that despite appearances, he’s "an amazing father" who's passionate about his children. Aw!
Masika also shares the origin of her daughter’s precious name, Khari Barbie, revealing she wanted to pick an African name with a strong meaning.
“Khari means queenly, born to rule and bring joy and joyful song,” the newly-minted mother gushes.
“Barbie, just because, I mean, she’s going to be a Barbie doll. Look at her mom,” she continues.
The “Andale” singer adds her baby girl has “a very strong first name and a built-in nickname,” if she chooses to use it when she gets older.
Despite her previous comments on the “Trap Queen” emcee’s commendable parenting skills, it seems Masika may be having a slight change of heart, more recently revealing her ex has not seen their 5-month-old daughter since she was a newborn.
“He’s seen her three times and the last time he saw her was when she was 10 days old,” Masika toldThe Cruz Show. Yikes!
Masika and Fetty’s relationship has been a serious rollercoaster of ups and downs. We hope they can eventually work things out for baby Khari's sake!
