Paris Jackson is opening up about her struggle with online bullies.
The daughter of the late Michael Jackson posted a video on Instagram about how hateful online commentators can be, which she later deleted.
She sobbed through the video as she talked about her personal experiences, which pushed her into a suicide attempt.
“When I was 14 I got so much hatred that I tried to kill myself,” she said through tears.
“And then I took a two-year break from social media and people asked me to come back, to make my Instagram public again. So I did and nothing changed.
“I don't understand how there can be so much hatred in the world right now.”
The 18-year-old went on to admit she even tried blocking the hateful commentators and avoiding reading their comments altogether, but to no avail.
“I've tried sticking up for myself, I've tried the whole blocking the haters thing, not reading the comments.
“I've tried, I've tried a lot of things, ignoring it, but it's hard. It is, when there's so much of it," she continued.
“And I don't get why I'm such an easy target. I try to be nice to everybody that I meet. I give everyone a chance. I'm usually a very trusting person.”
Paris then spoke directly to her social media followers and fans and pleaded with them as to why they continue to bully her.
“I try to be open with you guys about what I do on a daily basis, I share my life with you, I don't hide a lot, I'm very public.
“So I'm sorry if there's something that I'm doing that you guys don't like. Maybe I'm too public? I don't know. I'm just tired of it, I'm just really, really tired.”
She concluded the rant by calling out all the bullies who have ever hurt her or others, while still holding back tears.
“I mean, we're human beings, man. We've got hearts, and brains, and feelings, and when you say damaging things like that to people, it f—s them up.
“It really f—s people up when you do that and I don't know if that's what people want, but it's exhausting, really and truly, it's really exhausting.”
Although Paris deleted the devastating video soon after posting it, it must have triggered some emotions in others who flooded her comments with uplifting words.
“I want you to remember every moment that we will always love and support you, and that we don't search you and appreciate just because you're Michael Jackson's daughter but especially because we love the real you,” Instagram user m_unapazza_97_j wrote.
“I envy you and so do countless other people in this world. Dude you're soooo awesome. There is a lot of hate but there is a lot of love!!!!!” user __shawtayy added.
