Spice Girls star Mel B is putting Victoria Beckham and Mel C on serious blast after it was revealed that they would not be taking part in the girl band’s upcoming 20th anniversary reunion.
Mel took aim at her bandmates during an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden on September 8, where she described Victoria and Mel as being “b*****s” for refusing to take part in their upcoming reunion plans.
After Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner announced earlier this year that they would be celebrating the 20th birthday of the band as a threesome under the name Spice Girls GEM, James quizzed Mel on exactly why the five piece girl group would be two members down.
“Because the other two b*****s didn’t wanna do it!” Mel hit back when asked why Victoria and Mel C were both out of the upcoming reunion.
The America’s Got Talent judge then attempted to correct her pretty explosive response aimed at Sporty and Posh Spice, telling Corden, “No, let me correct that. My other two fellow lovely ladies.”
Mel then attempted to reveal exactly why Victoria and Mel C will not be a part of the upcoming Spice Girls reuinion, admitting that the two were just too busy to reunite with their bandmates.
“You know, Victoria is busy with her great fashion line,” Mel said of Beckham, before clarifying, “Mel C is doing her own album.”
Mel B then confirmed that the Spice Girls trio do have the twosome’s permission to continue, revealing during her The Late Late Show appearance that Victoria and Mel C “gracefully” gave their blessing for Mel B, Emma and Geri to stage a reunion without them.
“We’re girl power. We support each other,” Mel admitted of herself and her Spice Girls bandmates.
Mel B’s confession that Mel C and Victoria both gave their permission for the Spice Girls reunion to go ahead as a trio comes just weeks after The Sun claimed that Sporty Spice wasn’t actually too happy about three of her bandmates reuniting without her.
The site alleged last month that Mel C had actually been consulting with lawyers over the upcoming Spice Girls GEM reunion, claiming that she didn’t believe the three should be able to reunite and use the Spice Girls name without her and Beckham.
“Mel has told the other girls she is consulting lawyers about whether the reunion can go ahead without her,” an insider alleged to the newspaper, though Mel, nor her fellow Spice Girls, have confirmed the report.
“[Mel C] believes she brought music credibility to the group and there is no Spice Girls without her,” the insider continued of Sporty’s alleged legal battle, claiming that her bandmates “are in regular text and phone contact with her” regarding the situation.
But while Mel B appears to be dispelling reports claiming Mel C has threatened legal action against her Spice Girls bandmates, this isn’t the first time Scary Spice has been embroiled in drama with her fellow girl banders in recent weeks.
Earlier this year, Mel slammed Victoria Beckham again after Beckham claimed that her microphone was often turned off during Spice Girls performances.
Victoria made the surprising admission in an interview with The Telegraph, claiming that she rarely sung live during Spice Girls concerts.
However, Mel wasn’t too happy with Beckham’s confession, slamming Posh Spice when asked about Beckham’s microphone bombshell by Entertainment Tonight.
“She wishes it was turned off!” Mel hit back at Victoria. “We sung live, and we wrote and recorded all our music together live and we performed it live. It wasn’t turned down. Not that I know of.”
“Maybe she secretly asked for that — I don’t know about that,” Mel continued of Victoria.
