It has been revealed Angelina Jolie was dealing with the after effects of undergoing a surgery to get her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed just 78 weeks before her separation from ex-husband Brad Pitt. In March 2015, the 41-yr-old the Maleficent actress, choose to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes discard after finding out that she had symptoms of early ovarian cancer.
“I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt,” the mom-of-six wrote in an op-ed piece for The New York Times at the time. “I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren.”
In 2013, Doctor diagnosed Jolie with the BRCA1 gene, at which time she went for a double mastectomy. Her mother, the late Marcheline Bertrand, died at the age of 56 after battling ovarian cancer for eight years.
