Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s Engagement Ring: Get the Details

He put a ring on it! Bachelorette fans will see Rachel Lindsay get engaged on the season 13 finale of the ABC dating show on Monday, August 7, and IPRESSTV has all the details on her sparkler.
“Rachel’s ring is a huge pear shaped diamond with a halo of diamonds around it. It’s over three carats,” a show source tells IPRESSTV. “The ring itself is platinum. It’s huge, gorgeous and sparkles. It’s a big stone. It’s very, very big.”

The attorney is choosing between her three finalists, Bryan AbasoloEric Biggerand Peter Kraus. “Her fiancĂ© loved it immediately when he picked it out,” the insider adds. “She loved it, just like all the past Bachelorettes have.”
The Twitter account for Jimmy Kimmel Live! shared a sneak peek of the ring on Monday while teasing the Dallas native’s appearance on the late-night show after the finale airs.
Since Lindsay gave out her final rose and accepted a proposal, she’s been sporting a temporary gold band on her wedding finger so that no one will get a glimpse of her real ring. “You got to be surprised with the Neil Lane bling,” she told Extra’s Mario Lopez in May.
“I’m so excited, it’s just exuding from me … I can’t hide it,” Lindsay continued of the engagement. “He asked my parents, he got down on one knee — yes, all the traditional things happened.”

The Bachelorette season 13 finale airs on ABC Monday, August 7, at 8 p.m. ET

Rachel Lindsay Want To Talk About Race Issue on ‘The Bachelorette’

Rachel Lindsay is well aware she’s ABC’s first black Bachelorette. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight that was conducted in March, the 31-year-old lawyer revealed she’ll bring up the topic on night one of the show. The Bachelor After the Final Rose: Broken Engagements and More!

"I always say, it's something that should be talked about," Lindsay told ET. "I'm happy to address it. I'm honored to be the first [black Bachelorette]."

"With the guys, you know, if it's something new to them, then I want to talk about it the same way that I [wanted] to talk to Nick about it: 'Have you ever dated a black woman before?'" she explained of how she’ll proceed on the dating show. "I'll talk about my experiences as well. You know, it's about me, too, but I don't want it to be something that defines our relationship. But I think it's something important to address."

As previously reported, Lindsay was named the season 13 Bachelorette after competing on Nick Viall’s season 21 of The Bachelor. The reality star says she doesn’t have a “type.”

"I don't just date a specific race,” she told ET. “I date everyone. I'm open to everyone. I’m hoping to see a cast that reflects that as well, and I've told [producers] that."

Season 13 of The Bachelorette premieres May 22 on ABC.

The First Official Black Bachelorette is Rachel Lindsay

After a dozen Bachelorettes and two decades of Bachelors, ABC has finally chosen a woman of color as the lead. Yes, following weeks of rumors, it's official: Rachel Lindsay will be the Bachelorette next season. YAY!!! She is, hands down, the perfect choice.

The news was announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 13. "I'm ready to find love, find a husband, so you if you know anybody out there who needs to apply, sign up, go ahead and get started," Lindsay joked to Jimmy Kimmel. "I'm looking for someone who's looking for what I'm looking for....[someone who] can make me laugh."

And it turns out she's been keeping this a secret from us for a while now: "It wasn't that long after I got off the show that I was approached," she revealed. "But I honestly thought they were doing it to make me feel better from the heartbreak. And then, as it kept going, I realized they're serious about this thing."

This is a major milestone for the franchise, which has long been criticized for its lack of diversity—especially when it comes to the leads. The only non-white Bachelor was Juan Pablo Galavis, who is Latino. And now, Rachel Lindsay is the first woman of color to ever headline a season of The Bachelorette. Audiences fell in love with her from the start on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor when she won the first impression rose. Along the way, the Texas-based lawyer has shown how poised, smart, mature, and sweet she is—and we're so glad the producers took notice.
