No more drama!
Mary J. Blige’s estranged husband Martin “Kendu” Isaacs finally broke his silence on the demise of his 12 year marriage to the "queen of hip-hop soul" in a recent prayerful Instagram post.
“I trust with You all things are possible,” the music manager shared.
The reason for the split has yet to be revealed. However, the comments section of the post details a more telling story.
It appears Kendu may be keeping his fingers crossed for a reconciliation. He also shared a post alluding to the notion that some type of internal struggle may have contributed to the longtime lovebirds’ decision to call it quits.
Mary filed for divorce from Kendu, who is also her manager, back in July of this year, citing irreconcilable differences.
The 45-year-old singer has been candid about the pros and cons of being married to her manager in the past, saying that although she felt her hubby has always "had her back," there is no separation between work life and personal life. “It’s on all the time,” she's said.
It is unclear if the couple, who don’t share any children together, have a prenuptial agreement in place, but the "Rock Of Ages" actress did request that the courts deny spousal support.
The pair met in 2000 and were married in December of 2003 in a small ceremony at Mary’s home in New Jersey.
