Gabby Douglas Won't Be Attending the VMAs 2016- She is Resting After Been Hospitalized

Saving her strength. Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas was briefly hospitalized and will not be joining her Final Five teammates on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in NYC on Sunday, August 28.
"Out of the hospital & resting comfortably," the three-time gold medalist captioned an Instagram photo on Sunday that showed her lying on a bed swaddled in a large Ohio State blanket with the New York skyline in the background. "#FinalFive so sad I can't be with u all to present tonite @MTV thank u xoxo #VMAs #myview."
A rep for Douglas did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and it's not clear what landed the Olympic champ in the hospital or how long she was being treated.
