"Game of Thrones" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has joined the United Nations as a Global Ambassador. The organization announced its new charge on Saturday, Sept. 17, according to a press release. "My main mission as UNDP Goodwill Ambassador will be to raise awareness and support for the Global Goals for a better future for all, which cannot be achieved without empowering women and protecting our planet," the actor and dad said during a press conference. He's set to head up "a universal call to action to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change," according to the UN.
