As the magazine’s cover star, Kardashian supposedly told them, “At first I thought, ‘Oh my god, I’m so Hillary [Clinton],’ but I had a long political call withCaitlyn [Jenner] last night about why she’s voting Trump. I’m on the fence.” Eek.
The “quote” went viral on Friday (Sept. 23, 2016), with many Twitter followers appalled by Kim’s switcheroo (see some tweets here), but according to Buzzfeed, Kardashian’s quote cannot be found in the online version of the interview or in the PDF version on the page of the article’s author, Eve Barlow.
Huffington Post, who originated the story, claimed Barlow confirmed the quote and that it’ll appear in the print version, which hits newsstands Saturday (Sept. 24, 2016). Hmmm, let’s hope Kim chimes in soon to clarify the whole Trump deal.
The only political quote that has appeared so far in the Wonderland interview is Kim’s take on husband Kanye West’s statement he’ll run for president in 2020.
She laughed, “Look at all the awful things they’re doing to Melania [Trump], putting up the naked photos [of her]… I’ll say to Kanye: ‘Babe, you know the kind of photos they’d put up of me!’ Haha.” Which party would he be running for? “I don’t wanna put words in his mouth, but I’m pretty sure the Democrats. Maybe independent? I don’t know how serious he is about it. We’ll see…”
