Kristen Stewart opened up about her love life in a new interview with Elle magazine. The Personal Shopper actress, who is featured in the magazine's "Women in Hollywood" issue, has been dating visual effects producer Alicia Cargile.
"I’m not ashamed and I’m not confused," Stewart, 26, said. "Things have changed. And not just with me — we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance and be awesome."
Back in July, the Café Society star gushed that she was "really in love" with Cargile. "We’ve broken up a couple of times and gotten back together," Stewart explained to Elle UK. "And this time I was like, 'Finally, I can feel again.'"
This is her first relationship since splitting from girlfriend Stephanie "Soko" Sokolinski. It Was reported that she and the French singer-songwriter, 30, ended their brief romance in May
Stewart's willingness to dive into her private life is quite a change for her. The star rarely spoke about her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson when they dated on and off from 2009 to 2013.
"People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product," Stewart explained to The New York Times' T magazine in August. "It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me. It’s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I’m doing in my life. It’s that I don’t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value."
