American Secret Service Stay Guard on Melania, Barron Trump As They Step Out For Pizza Lunch

As president-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet picks and policy proposals provoke grave concerns and protests worldwide, his wife, Melania, took their son, Barron, out for pizza near their Trump Tower home in midtown Manhattan on Thursday, November 17. According to an eyewitness, the future first lady and her 10-year-old son had a “mommy-son lunch date” at Serafina Fabulous Pizza.

“Melania was wearing a red coat and kept it on the entire time,” the source tells Ipresstv of the 46-year-old Slovenia native. “She sat near the pizza oven with Barron. The tables next to them were kept clear for security, but other customers were nearby. Secret Service surrounded them and kept an eye on the other customers.”

According to the eyewitness, the former model was “doting on Barron” while dining on pizza di fabio and pasta with her son. “She and Barron talked to each other the entire time,” the source adds, telling Ipresstv that Melania also made “small talk with the waitress.”
During the Trump family’s interview on 60 Minutes on Sunday, Melania shared that she discussed raising Barron in the White House when she met with first lady Michelle Obama. “She was a gracious host,” Melania told Lesley Stahl. “We had a great time and we talked about raising children in the White House. She was very warm and very nice.” Barron will be the first son to live in the White House since John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1963.
Their outing comes just a little over a week after Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States, defeating Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton in an unexpected turn of events despite his divisive campaign. Since being elected, the controversial businessman, 70, has sparked many protests as his cabinet picks and policy proposals take shape.
The POTUS-elect announced on Sunday that he has appointed RNC chairman Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff and alt-right media executive Steve Bannon as chief strategist. (Bannon’s ties to white nationalism, anti-Semitism and more have provoked particular alarm, and many politicians, pundits and organizations have publicly condemned his appointment.) As previously reported, Trump is also eyeing other controversial candidates to fill his administration, including former Alaska governor Sarah Palin — who believes climate change is a hoax — and former opponent Chris Christie, who dropped out of the 2016 presidential race after the New Jersey governor's Bridgegate scandal.
Despite America’s somber mood, Trump claimed during an interview with TheWall Street Journal that he plans to be more positive. “It’s different now,” Trump told the Journal a day after meeting with President Barack Obama on November 11. “I want a country that loves each other. I want to stress that.”
