Andrea Bocelli To Perform At Trump's Inauguration Report is Making Some Fans React Angrily At Bocelli

Amid reports that world-famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli had been scheduled to meet with President-elect Donald Trump on Friday to discuss the possibility of performing at his January inauguration, the opera singer has been threatened with a boycott by some of his fans.
The New York Daily News reported that a "Boycott Bocelli" campaign has begun in earnest since the news first broke.

A number of fans took to Twitter to express their disapproval of Bocelli reportedly contemplating the idea:

Dumped @AndreaBocelli CD's in trash, won't be buying tickets to Feb. Orlando concert after all. DONE with him. Will  forever.

After hearing that @AndreaBocelli will be playing for @realDonaldTrump, I'm out. I'm also out $400. WORTH IT. Stand up and .

Bocelli himself has not commented whether or not he will perform, but if he does, he will join "America's Got Talent" contestant Jackie Evancho at the January 20 ceremony.
One music executive told Variety there are a number of performers "worried about backlash" if they were to perform at the event.
Bocelli, 58, is scheduled to perform tonight in Newark, New Jersey and reportedly sang to a sold out crowd in New York City last week.
