Selena Gomez and The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) reunited this weekend in Tesfaye's hometown of Toronto, after spending a couple days apart post-Europe trip.
Their visit included a cute date at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada on Saturday, which Tesfaye documented thoroughly on his Instagram story and Instagram timeline.
Tesfaye may have taken venue inspo from his good friend Drake, who took Rihanna to the same exact place back when they were a thing last fall. Drake reportedly booked out the place on a Sunday night; he and Rihanna had dinner there and stayed until dawn.

That wasn't The Weeknd and Gomez's only extravagant date in Canada either: Tesfaye also rented out the entire VIP section of a movie theater so the two could see Get Out Thursday night. It's a move straight from Selena Gomez's ex (and fellow Canadian) Justin Bieber's playbook. Bieber went bigger and rented out the Staples Center in L.A. so he and Gomez could watch Titanic over dinner way back in 2011. Gomez and Tesfaye spent Thursday together before Gomez flew to New York on Friday to shoot a campaign for Coach.
She was back in Toronto on Saturday, when the two had their aquarium date. Fans believe Gomez flew back to L.A. Sunday for a friend's 25th birthday party.
Tesfaye, meanwhile, kicks off the South American leg of his tour which runs March 23 to April 2—whether that's time apart or another vacation together, only their Instagrams will tell.
