So it seems like Gigi Hadid just chopped off a ton of hair

Remember when Gigi Hadid donned a cropped wig for July’s Stuart Weitzman ad and we all lost our minds? Her super-short pixie was the stuff of short-hair dreams. Thankfully for fans of the chop, Hadid brought the pixie back during New York Fashion Week’s Tom Ford spring/summer 2018 runway show.

Hadid rocked a blush pink wrap dress with her new short ‘do. Unlike her Stuart Weitzman chop, this cut is longer on top and falls just below the ear. But similarly, this pixie seems may be just as temporary as her former boy crop (and could potentially be the work of some well-placed bobby pins).

We’re still rooting for that permanent Hadid pixie, though.

Hadid and fellow Tom Ford model/friend, Kendall Jenner both sported faux pixies crafted by hairstylist Orlando Pita for the show. Tom wanted to actually chop all of the models’ hair, but Pita crafted faux cuts by twisting and hair spraying to keep the girls’ length.

Hadid’s longer pixie reminds us of a messier version of Twiggy’s iconic look from the ’60s. Paired with that retro-futuristic Tom Ford dress and thick black cat eyeliner, Hadid looks like she was pulled from the page of a vintage Vogue spread.

The model posted a photo to her Instagram showing off her post-show looks, pixie included. Gigi, take it from us — this hairstyle works. Perhaps it’s time to wield the scissors for real?

No pressure, though.

According to Tom Ford, the pixie cut might be as huge as the wrap dress this coming year. So if you’re looking to go through with a Hadid-inspired chop, now may be the time to do so.
