Kate Middleton HandCrafted A Christmas Gift For The Queen And How The Queen Took It Really Amazes Us

While most people go on a shopping spree for the holiday season, some prefer their gifts to be homemade. This year, the Duchess of Cambridge decided to give Queen Elizabeth II a very special present that would honor not only the Christmas spirit but the spirit of family and tradition.
“I thought back to what I would give my grandparents,” Kate Middleton told the BBC. “I thought, ‘I’ll make her something, which could have gone horribly wrong.'”

Luckily, it went swimmingly! Kate created a delicious marrow chutney using her own grandmother’s recipe, and according to royal insiders, the Queen ate it for breakfast with gusto.

Sometimes the best gifts are the most simple. In this case, the Duchess didn’t spend tons of money on a fancy item, but worked hard to create something personal and tasty!

The Queen was delighted to share the marrow chutney with everyone at breakfast. No doubt, it earned Kate quite a lot of compliments on her cooking.
