Chrissy Teigen Join With John Legend to donate $200,000 to Time's Up campaign on behalf of U.S. gymnasts

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have shown their solidarity for the #MeToo movement by donating $200,000 to Time's Up on behalf of U.S. gymnasts. Their donation appears on the organization's GoFundMe page, alongside donations from other major celebrities and organizations.

The couple's donation arrived within days of the court ruling on Larry Nassar, who was sentenced to 40-175 years in prison for sexual assault. Time's Up has raised nearly $20 million in its first month of existence, including donations from Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and Mark Wahlberg on behalf of Michelle Williams.

Teigen and Legend attended Sunday's Grammy Awards together in New York City, where multiple nominees spoke out in support of the Time's Up movement (and the Grammys themselves felt under scrutiny for skewing heavily male).

Part of the Time's Up mission is to end the sexual misconduct and inequality that have been harshly highlighted in the months since Harvey Weinstein was publicly accused of assault. Many of Nassar's victims spoke out at his conviction hearing, including U.S. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, who won gold medals in 2012 and 2016.

"My work, and the army of survivors — we're not done yet," Raisman said on The View. "We still have to hold these organizations accountable."
