Mother-daughter bonding! Kylie Jenner is planning to keep her motherhood journey with newborn daughter Stormi private from the public — for now.“She is extremely protective and she is very focused on trying to keep motherhood private for right now,” a source told Ipresstv about the 20-year-old reality star who welcomed her first child with boyfriend Travis Scott on February 1. “She used to love being in the limelight, but that has totally changed.”
The source adds, “All Kylie wants is for her privacy to be protected right now and is pretty demanding about that at this time.”
It should not come as a surprise to fans that Jenner is going to lay low with her baby girl. While Us confirmed that she was expecting back in September, the Kylie Cosmetics creator did not publicly comment on her pregnancy until after her bundle of joy arrived.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to be bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world,” Jenner explained to fans on Sunday, February 4.“I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how. there was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”
However, Jenner did give fans a glimpse into her pregnancy by posting an 11-minute YouTube video that included clips from her baby shower, doctors appointments and footage of her cradling her daughter in the hospital.
Days later, the Life of Kylie star shared the first photo of Stormi and announced her name. The picture has since become the most liked photo on Instagram. As for her relationship with Scott, an insider revealed that she isn’t worried about getting engaged any time soon.
“Engagement isn’t super important to Kylie,” the insider explained. “Travis could ask her, but it’s not something that is a major priority. She is just loving starting a family with this person.”
