Students shared the moment they were evacuated from their high school after a teacher barricaded themselves in a classroom and opened fire. A pupil called Jayden Snapchatted the lockdown, writing: ‘Y’all it’s a threat and I’m finna cry! Student's impassioned gun control plea after teacher opens fire at her school ‘Everybody running and cryinggg. He in the building bruh.’
The footage shows panicked teenagers and workers running through what appears to be the hall of Dalton High School in Dalton, Ga., with the school’s big cat mascot visible on a wall. Another teenager calling himself @wesleycaceres5 on Twitter posted a video to Twitter showing fellow students calmly walking down a carpeted corridor led by a sheriff.
