Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are looking to cement their relationship further as they consider having a baby via surrogacy

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are taking a major step forward in their relationship. The couple is looking to have a baby through a surrogate.

US Weekly reports that an insider has revealed that after three years of dating, Shelton and Stefani are narrowing down on a surrogate to carry their child. The source says, “They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited.” The couple is determined to have a baby. Even though Blake is happy being present in the lives of Gwen's sons from her previous marriage, he wants children of his own, reveals the insider.

The singer loves the relationship Blake has with her sons, and the source adds that “Gwen just is so in awe of the love Blake has, not only for her but for the boys." Seeing his relationship with her sons, Gwen seems determined to have a biological child with Blake. The Daily Mail reports, that in March, Blake spoke to the 'Today Show' about his special relationship with Gwen's children. "It's easy to fall in love with those kids, they're special," he revealed. The singer also revealed that parenting has begun to come naturally to him. 'It's definitely an instinct that kind of kicks in. There are days where you go, "Oh my God, when does school start?" An hour later you're going, "God, I can't wait 'til they get home. They're so damn funny," continues Shelton.

The 49-year-old singer has three sons, Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10 and Apollo, four, with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, a relationship she was in for 14 years. Blake has been married twice himself, first to his long-time girlfriend Kaynette Gern and then to fellow country music star Miranda Lambert. Both times, he never had any children. 

Shelton and Stefani have been together since 2015 when they officially announced they were dating. USA Today reports, that last Sunday fans almost thought Blake was going to propose during the People's Choice Awards. When the singer was on stage accepting the award for best competition TV show for 'The Voice' along with Carson Daly, he called Gwen on stage shouting "I love her!". When Gwen came on stage fans were expecting a proposal but nothing happened. Instead, Gwen laughed and  said, "What am I doing up here?", looking at the crowd she continued, "I'm so excited to be with Blake Shelton."

Bette Midler Says Blake Shelton Makes Her Think of John Wayne

In an interview with Billboard, Bette Midler had some very kind words for her Voice co-star Blake Shelton, going so far as to compare him to John Wayne.


When asked about how she’s finding her debut season on The Voice, Midler said she’s having so much fun. “The singers on the show have some of the most beautiful voices I’ve heard in public. This show has areal sweetness at its core. It’s not mean-spirited.”

She saved her highest praise for Shelton. “Blake is a hoot!” she said, “He is on the small screen, but I personally think—if I were his agent—I would get him on a big screen as quick as possible… He’s so photogenic, like a John Wayne Type.

Midler also revealed that she almost chose not to do The Voice. “What have I got to say to those Kids?” she thought. Someone she only describes as a well-known singer convinced her to do it, telling her, “You tell them what it means to be a performer.”
The interview also touched on Midler’s classic Halloween comedy, Hocus Pocus. The singer says she’d be open to a sequel. In fact, “for the life of [her],” she can’t understand why there isn’t one. When asked why it remains a classic, she responded, “You don’t get to see women doing slapstick too much, and in the movie you can see we’re having a blast.”

Midler is currently preparing to play the lead role in Hello Dolly! on Broadway, where she says she’s having a great time. “I’ve never had a part this big on Broadway.” The show, opening in March of 2017, has already broken Broadway’s single-day sales records, bringing in over $9 Million in advance tickets.

People reports the crew also spent some time tooling around Anaheim, California, where Gwen grew up, and stopped by the house where she wrote The Beacon Street Collection with No Doubt. Sounds like a perfect ramp-up to their one-year anniversary this fall. "I can't say anything but I'm so blessed," Gwen recently told the magazine. "It's just crazy how much happened, you know what I mean? So many beautiful memories."

Miley Cyrus is rumored to have been locked in a pretty nasty feud with her fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine for months now, but is Blake Shelton now getting in on the drama?

According to Radar Online, Miley has now found herself in the middle of the drama on The Voice set as Blake and Adam, who are the only two coaches to have appeared on all 11 seasons of the NBC singing show, are now getting seriously competitive after Shelton previously referred to Cyrus as an “a**hole.”

An insider close to production alleged that “Adam and Blake are still trying to one-up each other at any chance they get,” and their drama has reportedly now left Miley out in the cold after Radar Online initially claimed that Cyrus, who joined the series earlier this year, “has been clashing with her male counterparts for weeks.”

OK! Magazine also reported on the alleged on-set feud between Miley, Blake and Adam, claiming that Cyrus “feels like the favorite target” and also “feels like it’s a boys’ club and that she’s all alone” on the set.

The site even went as far as to suggest that things have gotten so bad that Miley is even considering quitting and make her first season her last.

As The Voice viewers have witnessed, Miley and Adam have done little to hide their alleged feud ever since the show began airing its 11th season on September 19.

The latest reports of a feud come shortly after Shelton seemingly slammed Cyrus during an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix talk show Chelsea earlier this year, where Entertainment Tonight reported that Blake referred to Cyrus as being an “a**hole” on the set.

According to the site, Shelton told the talk show host that he’s actually friendly with Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus and joked that he threatened to phone the country music star to tell him about Cyrus’s “antics.”

“I’ve known her dad for years,” Shelton said of his connection to Miley on Chelsea, “and so it’s like, ‘I’m gonna call your dad! I will tell your dad what an a**hole you’re being right now, so you better settle down, missy!'”

Shelton made the admission back in July, just three months after Us Weekly alleged that Miley hasn’t exactly been getting along with her fellow coaches, particularly Levine. Blake seemed to dispel the feud reports at the time, and even suggested that he didn’t have any problems with Cyrus just because they’re polar opposites.

“I can’t imagine us ever having a problem,” Blake said of Miley after filming the blind audition segments of the show back in April. “We completely understand each other, and just because she lives her life one way and I live my life one way doesn’t mean we’re not friends.”

Blake’s seeming denial of an on-set feud between Cyrus and her fellow The Voice coaches, which also includes fellow newbie Alicia Keys, came shortly after Us Weekly alleged that things were not going well between Miley and her fellow musicians during filming for the show’s famous blind audition rounds.

A source told the site earlier this year, months before Season 11 of The Voice began airing on NBC back in September, that Miley and Adam “totally butted heads” while filming and claimed that Cyrus and Levine were just “too similar” to get along and be friendly while searching for talent.

“[Cyrus and Levine] both have short attention spans,” the site’s insider claimed of the two The Voice coaches as the feud rumors swirled.

“Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him, and she enjoyed getting under his skin,” the source continued, adding that Cyrus and Levine “find each other annoying.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Meet in Oklahoma, Went Boating With Her Kids

A happy family. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton reunited in Oklahoma over the Labor Day weekend and took her three kids out boating.

The No Doubt singer and the country crooner, who've both been crisscrossing the country on tour over the summer, met up in the "Voice" coach's home state for some R&R at his Tishomingo ranch, and Stefani, 46, posted a photo snuggling up with her boyfriend, 40, on Instagram on Sunday, September 4, that showed them both wearing brightly patterned shirts.

The "Misery" singer also shared a series of videos on Snapchat on Monday, September 5, that showed the couple hitting the water on a boat with her three kids — Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2 — with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

In the videos, Apollo can be seen sitting with Shelton as he lets the toddler steer the boat, while Zuma jumps onto an inflatable raft. Kingston, meanwhile, fooled around with Snapchat's old man filter, which showed him with glasses and a gray mustache. Stefani, who wore a red leopard-print bikini, was all smiles as she watched her main men having fun together.

As we have previously reported, the "Came Here to Forget" singer has gotten "closer and closer" with Stefani's kids since they went public with their relationship in November after splitting with their respective spouses.

"The boys love him," a Shelton source reveals.

A Stefani family insider reveals in June that the loved-up couple are talking marriage. They "talk openly about their future together," the insider said. "They say things like, 'When we get married …' all the time."
