YouTube Celebrity who gave toothpaste-filled Oreo to A homeless man receives 15-month jail sentence

A Spanish YouTube star who pranked a homeless man by filling an Oreo cookie with toothpaste was sentenced on Friday to 15 months in prison and now owes $22,300 to his victim, The New York Times reported Sunday.

A Barcelona judge also ordered that Kanguhua Ren's YouTube and other social media accounts be shut down for five years. The 20-year-old Ren, who goes by ReSet on the video-sharing website, was born in China but has lived in Barcelona for most of his life. He is unlikely to serve any jail time because Spanish law typically waives prison sentences for first-time offenders who commit non-violent crimes.

Ren posted a since-deleted video to his YouTube channel in January 2017 in which he is seen filling Oreo cookies with toothpaste and repackaging them as a prank to impress his 1.2 million followers. The prank took a turn for the worse when he handed the cookie, along with 20 euros, to a homeless man identified as Gheorge L., who proceeded to eat them and vomit afterward.

In the video, Ren can be heard contemplating whether he has gone too far with the prank.

"But look at the positive side; this will help him clean his teeth,” he said. “I think he hasn't cleaned them since he became poor."

The Barcelona court didn't see the humor and found Ren guilty of violating the moral integrity of the homeless man.

Gheorge L., a native of Romania who fled his country to escape the Communist dictatorship and was later hospitalized in a mental institution said he had “never been treated so poorly while living on the street,” according to a report by the El Pais newspaper.

After the video received negative feedback from his followers, Ren attempted to make amends by filming a subsequent video where he visits the homeless man again and offers him 20 more euros. Ren made a third visit after that, offering the man's daughter 300 euros to prevent her from filing a lawsuit, according to Spanish police.

The YouTuber raked in $2,475 from advertisers for the Oreo prank videos alone, a fact that judge Rosa Aragonés said showed "this was not an isolated act," as he has posted other videos displaying "cruel behaviors" towards "easy or vulnerable victims," in the past.

Ren defended his videos to the court saying “I do things to mount a show: People like what is morbid.”

Scary Viral Video Shows Sea Lion Dragging A Girl Into the Water

A young girl was dragged into the water in Richmond, British Columbia, by a sea lion in a frightening video posted on YouTube on Saturday, May 20.

In the video, which has now gone viral with more than 2.2 million views, the sea lion can be seen near the Steveston Fisherman's Wharf in Canada as a group of people throw bits of food to the animal and comment on how large it is.Sea lion drags a girl into the waters at the Steveston Fisherman's Wharf, Richmond B.C. Then a young girl leans over the edge of the wharf to get a closer look and the sea lion pokes his head up to get closer to her. She then sits down, facing away from animal as it jumps up, grabbing the back of her dress and pulling her into the water as onlookers scream in horror.

A man, believed to be the girl’s family member, quickly jumps into the water to rescue her, and he lifts her out of the water as people reach out to help. The girl and her family quickly leave the scene as a man can be heard asking her rescuer if he’s all right.

Michael Fujiwara, who captured the dramatic footage, told CBC News that the girl’s family “were just in shock” over the terrifying incident. “They were pretty shaken up,” he said.

Andrew Trites, director of the Marine Mammal Research Unit at the University of British Columbia, told CBC that the sea lion looked like it was used to having people feed it.

“The little girl has her back to the sea lion and it would appear that the sea lion sees part of her dress, thinks it’s food, reaches up, grabs at the food and pulls her in by the dress,” he said. “But it wasn’t food, of course.”

Trites said that while sea lions are not considered dangerous, the lesson to be learned from this is that they are wild animals and you should “keep your distance.”

“Watch the animals,” he said, “But let wildlife be wildlife.”

Felix Kjellberg Also known as PewDiePie On YouTube Accuses Google Of Trying To Kill His YouTube Channel

Felix Kjellberg, known on YouTube as PewDiePie, said he would delete his popular channel in a 10-minute rant against the video service posted on Friday.

Kjellberg, whose channel draws nearly 50 million subscribers, is known on YouTube for his comedic video game commentary and has the service’s most popular channel. He took issue with many of YouTube’s product and content changes, which he said has caused his videos to perform poorly.
“YouTube is trying to kill my channel,” he said in a video vowing to delete it once he hit the 50 million mark. “It’s clear if you watch my analytics. It’s all going down there.”
Putting on a conspiracy theorist persona, Kjellberg said YouTube was suppressing his videos because he’s white, and suggested the company wants Indian-Canadian Lilly Singh, who also has a popular channel, to lead the brand.
“They want someone else on top,” he said. “Someone really extremely cancerous, like Lilly Singh. I’m white. Can I make that comment? But I do think that’s a problem.”
In a since-deleted tweet, Kjellberg said the comment about his whiteness was sarcastic.
It’s unclear whether Kjellberg will follow through on his threat. On Monday, he tweeted that YouTube had responded to his complaints.

Here is Donald Trump Thanksgiving Message on YouTube

President-elect Donald Trump wished Americans a happy Thanksgiving via YouTube late Wednesday, asking to “restore the bonds of trust between citizens.”
The 104-second video was uploaded to Trump’s Transition 2017 page, and featured the Republican sitting at a desk in front of an American flag and speaking directly to the camera. It’s the second video posted to Trump’s new YouTube page this week, following another clip that laid out plans for his administration.
Read the full statement from Trump below, and watch the video below.

We are very blessed to call this nation our home. And that’s what America is: It is our home. It’s where we raise our families, care for our loved ones, look out for our neighbors, and live out our dreams. It’s my prayer, that on this Thanksgiving, we begin to heal our divisions and move forward as one country, strengthened by shared purpose and very, very common resolve.
In declaring this national holiday, President Lincoln called upon Americans to speak with “one voice and one heart.” That’s just what we have to do. We’ve just finished a long and bruising political campaign. Emotions are raw and tensions just don’t heal overnight. It doesn’t go quickly, unfortunately. But we have before us the chance now to make history together. To bring real change to Washington, real safety to our cities, and real prosperity to our communities, including our inner cities – so important to me, and so important to our country. But to succeed, we must enlist the effort of our entire nation.
This historic political campaign is now over. But now begins a great national campaign to rebuild our country and to restore the full promise of America for all of our people.
I am asking you to join me in this effort. It’s time to restore the bonds of trust between citizens. Because when America is unified, there is nothing beyond our reach, and I mean absolutely nothing.
Let us give thanks for all that we have, and let us boldly face the exciting new frontiers that lie ahead.
Thank you. God bless you, and God bless America

In addition to Trump, Vice President-elect Mike Pence and Trump’s daughter Ivanka also wished followers a happy Thanksgiving via Twitter. (Ivanka Trump posted a photo of husband Jared Kushner and their son.)
Today, we give thanks for the many blessings in our lives: family, friends, freedom and faith. From our family to yours ! https://twitter.com/govpencein/status/801786922293231616 …

I Wish I Knew These 17 Things Before I was Age 17

Before he had seven million YouTube subscribers and a bestselling memoir, Joey Graceffa was just a normal high school kid trying to figure things out. Here are a few things he wishes he'd known then.

1. The reason you have acne is because you only eat crap and tons of processed sugars. STOP and drink water.

2.
Don't feel pressured to do things you're not ready to do. You're not gonna have your first kiss till you're 21 and you don't need to smoke or drink just 'cause everyone else is doing it. Be a shepherd, not a sheep.

3. Talk to your friends about what's really going on at home. It will help you so much. You don't have to keep everything inside.

4. NEVER USE A TANNING BED AGAIN! HOW'S SKIN CANCER SOUND?! OR HOW ABOUT PRE-MATURE WRINKLES?!

5. Wearing double layered pop collars are only good for looking back to make fun of yourself. Triple layers was just cringe.

6. Don't be embarrassed that you live in a small apartment. Your friends don't care where you live; they just wanna hang out with you.

7. Stand up for yourself more.

8. Smoothies aren't healthy when you add milk, sweetie.

9. Milk is for a baby calf to turn into a large cow. Not humans. Don't worry, there are plenty of alternatives like almond, soy, or coconut milk.

10. It's OK to cry when you're a boy.

11. Don't stress out about what college you wanna go to. SURPRISE — you drop out to follow your dreams. College isn't for everyone.

12. Screw the school drama teacher who didn't cast you your senior year. You will star in many of your own successful projects one day.

13. Keep making YouTube videos. It's gonna take you places you never imagined.

14. Don't do your hair like that. It wasn't cute then…nor will it ever be.

15. Your mother's alcoholism is a disease and probably will never go away. But that doesn't mean you can't have hope or still love her.

16. Don't wear that oversized white tux to prom, please. I know you want to stand out, but just don't.

17.
You are gay and someday you won't have to hide it.

Follow Joey on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Look for his debut YA novel Children of Eden everywhere on October 4, 2016.
