Laurie Hernandez Wowed by Adam Levine Surprises Rio [VIDEO]

Now that the Olympics are over and Laurie Hernandez has been named the new queen of the beam, the 16-year-old is headed back to the States to embark on a 40-city gymnastics tour with the rest of the Final Five. But of course, like any good Olympian, she needed to make a few talk show appearances before hopping on a plane. On Ryan Seacrest's late-night show Saturday, Laurie revealed that her dad texted her about her chores while she was competing in Rio and discussed the origin of the Final Five's nickname (they're the final group of gymnasts team coordinator Martha Karolyi). She also explained that she's a huge fan of The Voice and has trouble deciding who her favorite judge is.

"Adam keeps winning, so I like Adam because of that," Laurie said. "But Christina [Aguilera] is awesome; even when I was younger just in the gym, my coach would put on a Christina CD and we would listen to her the whole time."
Ryan told her that since the Final Five met and sufficiently fangirled over Zac Efron, "he has had his moment" and it might be time for a new celeb shout-out in Rio. Then, he directed Laurie's attention to a screen, where a video message from Adam Levine popped up. "What's up, Laurie?" Adam asked. "This is Adam Levine, just wanted to say 'Hello, congratulations.' You're kicking butt out there, and we've been watching you from the States. Excellent work."
And thus, friends, the human emoji came to life. Watch her reaction, below:
