It looks like Laverne Cox has a very special admirer. After making an epic performance of Beyoncé's "Lose My Breath" on Lip Sync Battle last week, the Orange Is the New Blackstar received hefty praise from the Queen herself. Cox received four white potted orchids and a hand-written note that read: "Laverne, Thank you for blessing this world with your slayage. You were gorgeous on Lip Sync Battle. Love, Beyoncé."
The actress and activist posted her reaction on Instagram and she was appropriately ecstatic—to the point where she shed tears:
"When you are at work on #Doubt your new cbs legal drama premiering in 2017 and get flowers and a hand written card from the Queen Bey herself @beyonce. Thank you Beyonce for such a thoughtful gesture. You didn't have to but it means so much that you did. I am so happy you enjoyed the#LipSyncBattle tribute to Destiny's Child. You know I live for everything you do. EVERYTHING!! Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!"
Cox went on to thank her friends for her their support (and also her waterproof mascara for staying in place). "Wow, what a day!" she added. "God is GOOD!!"
