UPDATES ON THE PRENUP ISSUES OF MARIAH CAREY WITH JAMES PACKER WITH LOTS MORE DETAILS

The plot thickens. Though Mariah Carey and James Packer have remained mum on their split, TMZ points to complications regarding their complex prenuptial agreement dating back to February may have contributed to the relationship's demise. According to the website, Mariah believes James' team "started trying to tear them apart" during negotiations around the 100-page prenup, which was never signed.

Citing an email thread between James and reps for the billionaire and Mariah, TMZ reports the agreement included a provision that Mariah would be awarded $50 million in the case of a split and that gifts James gave Mariah would need to be returned unless James provided a "signed note saying [the item] was a gift." The emails also reportedly show James wanted to marry Mariah on March 1 of this year in spite of her ex, Nick Cannon's refusal to sign his divorce papers.

"I don't know who's working for who because there are a lot of names I haven't heard before on this email chain," James is quoted as having said in an email. "The people who work for me -- message -- do as I say or f--- off. I want to get married on March 1st." The couple reportedly planned to call their wedding a commitment ceremony and had already ordered flowers and secured Mariah's dress when James' lawyers pushed back, telling the couple they couldn't get the prenup signed off on in time for a March 1 wedding. Mariah is currently asking for $50 million as a settlement for their split.
