Mohamed Hadid Father To Gigi Hadid is Asking For $85 Million For His Bel Air Mansion

You know you've come across a fancy piece of real estate when it has its very own name and music-accompanied website (not to mention a 5,000-bottle wine cellar and a grand ballroom).

Take a gander at Le Belvédère, an estate in the wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel Air, built by Gigi Hadid's real estate tycoon father, Mohamed Hadid. The 40,000-square-foot property was sold for $50 million to international buyers in 2010, but the new owners never actually moved in, reports The Real Deal. Since then, Mohamed Hadid has been living in the property by renting it back from the buyers.

A father of five (Gigi's siblings are Bella, Anwar, Alana and Marielle), Mohamed Hadid is known for building luxurious mansions and hotels in Bel Air, and this property is no exception.

With 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, the estate includes a music room, a formal outdoor bath, a ballroom that seats 200 to 250 people (complete with a commercial kitchen), a Moroccan room, an elevator, a Turkish hammam, garages for limousine-length vehicles, a guard house, a swan pond and 8 rose gardens, according to the listing.

Outside in a spa and pool pavilion, you'll find a 70-foot infinity pool, a 12-person spa, a kitchen with a pizza oven, courtyard dining for 100 guests and cozy fireplaces.

(Whew, we're out of breath. This place could be a luxury hotel on its own.)

Meanwhile, Mohamed Hadid is facing charges for building another elaborate house at 901 Strada Vecchio without a permit. It's so extravagant, the unfinished project has been called the "starship enterprise" by neighbors.

Legal issues aside, one thing is for sure: Mohamed Hadid knows luxury like Gigi Hadid knows the runway. With a resume of building homes for children of foreign figures and hanging out with everyone from the Kardashians to Sean Combs (oh yea, and the Dalai Lama), his lifestyle and his architecture is nothing short of elaborate.
