Here Are the 6 Kind Of Jobs That Will Let You Work in Your Pyjamas This Year

New year, new you, new job. But if you dream of landing a gig that lets you work from home—maybe even in your pajamas—don’t send out your résumé to any ole job. Positions in certain fields are more likely to let you work from home than others—and thanks to a recent study by FlexJobs, we know just the ones to target this year.

FlexJobs analyzed more than 100,000 job listings from last year to see which career fields increasingly offered remote positions. And while all fields are seeing an increase in remote workers thanks in part to technological advances, the site found that five fields are growing their remote-worker roster at especially staggering rates—more than 20 percent, to be exact. Here they are.
1. Mortgage and real estate If you want to work in the home industry this year, you can probably work from your home. According to FlexJobs, employers such as Zillow, Homeward Residential, and American Advisors Group are searching for workers who are ready to take remote jobs such as mortgage loan officer, underwriter, and mortgage processor.
2. Human resources and recruiting It’s surprising to see these fields make the list, we know. (After all, you’d think working with workers would require you to be, well, at work.) But FlexJobs says Aon Hewitt, Xerox, and IT Pros have sought remote workers to fill titles such as recruiter, human resources specialist, and human resources manager.
3. Accounting and finance You can totally crunch numbers from your couch. “Wells Fargo, Citi, and Ally Financial have recently recruited for remote jobs in accounting and finance,” FlexJobs says, for jobs that run the gamut from accountant to bookkeeper to auditor.

4. Pharmaceuticals Another shocker, but the pharmaceutical industry needs employees who work behind a laptop, not a pharmacy counter. According to FlexJobs, CVS Health, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Pharmaceutical Product Development are just a few of the companies looking for pharmacists, clinical research associates, and account managers who can work from home.

5. Education and training Technology is changing the classroom once again. FlexJobs says companies such as K12, Kaplan, and Connections Education are recruiting workers to fill remote positions as online tutors, adjunct faculty members, and virtual teachers.
