Game of Thrones just pulled off one of its most impressive bait-and-switches yet. The last few episodes laid on the awkward tension between Arya and Sansa thick, encouraging audiences to believe one would kill the other. But in tonight's Season 7 finale, Sansa led Littlefinger to believe she was about to execute Arya, before turning the charges of murder and treason on Baelish. As Littlefinger begged Sansa to spare his life, Bran provided evidence that he conspired to kill Ned. With a dramatic flourish, Arya cut Littlefinger's throat with the very knife he set on Bran seven seasons ago. It was one of the show's most satisfying deaths to date.
Here's what Twitter had to say about the scene:
Littlefinger never saw it coming:
When you realize that you're actually the one who has been being conned the whole time:
When Little Finger gets accused of murder and Arya says "My lady asked you a question" #GameOfThrones
Bran had the receipts:
Littlefinger: "Nobody was there"
Bran: "Actually"
Littlefinger: "I deny it!"
Sansa: "Let me call my chief witness, my brother who can SEE ALL OF TIME AND SPACE." #GameofThrones
Littlefinger: "None of you were there to see what happened. None of you knows the truth."

Arya delivered the death blow:
The Stark siblings did it TOGETHER:
Fans will never get over it:
almost nothing has been as satisfying as watching Littlefinger on his knees, begging for his life #girlpower #GameOfThrones
I'm sorry, but the best scene of the entire episode was the Stark kids triple teaming Little Finger.. #GameofThrones
Westeros might be screwed but at least we don't have to see Little Finger's lying face again #GameOfThrones#GameOfThronesFinale
It was a truly meme-worthy occasion:
I'd like to nominate Littlefinger getting exposed as the new "Blinking White Guy" GIF #GameOfThrones#GameOfThronesFinale
