Justin Timberlake will perform at the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 4 in Minneapolis. He made the announcement with help from friend Jimmy Fallon. Watch below. He returns to the show 14 years after his last performance at the Super Bowl when he famously bared Janet Jackson’s right breast in what was called a “wardrobe malfunction.”
The incident caused an FCC crackdown on objectionable broadcast material, the raising of fines per indecency violation, and performances in ensuing years from older rock artists like Paul McCartney, the Who, the Rolling Stones, and Tom Petty. Recent years have featured the return of younger pop artists: Lady Gaga performed last year, and Beyoncรฉ, Bruno Mars, and Coldplayhelmed the show in 2016.
Timberlake’s last album The 20/20 Experience was released in 2013. Last year, he had a hit with “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
