It’s impossible to understate the sacrifices people willingly make when they join and ultimately embark on a career in the United States Military.
Not only do they go through some incredibly extensive, physically and mentally exhaustive training, but they are also put into some especially dire circumstances in every aspect of their lives.
Some folks are stationed in random parts of the world knowing they won’t see their families for years at a time. And others have to deal with that while simultaneously putting their lives on the line during combat.
That’s why it’s so important to show support to our Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and even Coast Guard members the utmost respect and gratitude when they return from their most recent tour of duty, even if you don’t necessarily agree with the task they were given or politics behind its reasoning.
Sadly, many members of the military go through a ton while deployed and come back with PTSD. The lucky soldiers who are able to return home and not have a difficult time acclimating back into civilian life don’t necessarily avoid other hardships, though.
Let’s face it: Being romantically faithful to a partner you might not see for several years at a time isn’t something everyone is cut out for.
Thus, it isn’t unusual to hear about stories where military members come home from war only to find out their husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend has been seeing or sleeping with someone else in order to pass the time and satisfy them sexually in their absence.
The following story is an example of one of these situations. After not seeing his wife for quite some time while stationed overseas, a marine asked a friend back home to pay a visit to see her.
The friend agreed, and sent the following photo to the marine. Things escalated quickly after what was initially overlooked in the photo was finally noticed.
That’s right, folks. The marine’s wife had actually been living with a new man in their house. When the friend visited, he quickly hid under the bed, but his hand was captured in the photo.
Naturally, the marine understandably instantly filed for divorce. Although this must have been a ridiculously painful revelation for him to deal with, at least he’s no longer involved with someone who can’t be trusted…
