Is Marion Cotillard Still Working With Dior?

The Cannes Film Festival is as much a celebration of fashion as it is a celebration of film. So when Marion Cotillard, who's represented Dior since 2008, arrived on the red carpet for the "Ismael's Ghosts" in a Chanel gown, rumors began to circulate suggesting the actress had parted ways with the iconic label. 

According to THR, the relationship didn't end on a happy note: "Sources say the Cotillard was unceremoniously dropped from the brand by new creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri," the website reported this week, adding that Maria "wants a newer, younger face for her reimagined brand." Though nothing has been confirmed, Dior's recent collaboration with Rihanna on their "We should all be feminists" T-shirts definitely bolsters the theory.

Brad Pitt's personal life may have recently taken an unexpected turn, but fear not: His professional life is still right on track.

Likely in part due to the attention his divorce with Angelina Jolie received on Tuesday, Paramount Pictures decided to release a trailer for Allied, the actor's upcoming movie with Marion Cotillard. According to the trailer's description, the film follows intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt) after he meets French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) "on a deadly mission behind enemy lines." The two fall in love, and decide to start a life together in London — only to have their relationship "threatened by the extreme pressures of the war."

Based on this trailer, the film kind of seems like a much darker version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but it's also entirely possible I'm imagining things.
