Will Malia Obama share what she knows in the Harvey Weinstein scandal soon? That’s what sources are claiming amid the countless sexual harassment claims being charged against the powerful Hollywood movie producer. Former President Barack Obama’s daughter interned for Weinstein for three months earlier this year before enrolling at Harvard.

According to an exclusive report by the Blast, two sources allege that Malia Obama may be required to give depositions on what it was like working behind closed doors with Weinstein. The insiders are familiar with the class action lawsuit filed with The Armenta Law firm. They’ll reportedly subpoena the 19-year-old in an effort to learn more from her. Malia was said to be working closely with executives of The Weinstein Company during her internship. One such “theory” suggested in the article is that she was possibly a key figure in helping bring down Weinstein over his sexual misconduct against numerous women by informing her parents of what she knew. Malia’s parents issued a statement expressing their disgust over the Weinstein scandal, but it came out several days after the accusations.

Many wondered why the Obamas were so quiet after news emerged that one of their biggest political donors and good friends was caught up in a huge scandal. Other reports have claimed that Malia wasn’t one of the women Weinstein targeted and was nothing but nice to her. Whether the eldest Obama daughter was aware of his treatment of others is unknown, and apparently, attorneys are eager to find out what she knows from her three-month internship at TWC.

Depositions given by Malia Obama would be information that the law firm can “base their strategies on.” The law suit is alleging that Weinstein and his company were involved in a conspiracy to settle and cover up the film producer’s alleged crimes. The class action lawsuit aims to have authorities take a closer look at Harvey Weinstein and pursue criminal actions if need be.

Malia Obama worked in the production department at TWC in which she screened new scripts and decided which ones moved on for consideration by higher-ups.

Colony Capital, A Firm Owned By A Close Friend Of Trump Has Bailed Out The Weinstein Company

In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter over the weekend, Harvey Weinstein’s younger brother, Bob, insisted that the company they co-founded, the Weinstein Company, was not for sale. Considering the mounting allegations of sexual assault and rape being made against Harvey, however, it seems Bob spoke too soon. According to the New York Times, the Weinstein Company “secured a financial lifeline — and a potential new owner” on Monday when they established a preliminary agreement with Colony Capital for a much-needed infusion of cash. By the way, Colony is owned by a close friend of Donald Trump.

Billionaire Tom Barrack, who recently exclaimed the president was “better than this,” is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Colony Capital, a private equity firm. In a statement shared with CNN and other outlets, he said they“will help return the company to its rightful iconic position in the independent film and television industry.” No details were given regarding precisely how much money Colony was giving Weinstein. Nor were the precise parameters of the agreement disclosed, including whether or not Barrack’s involvement in the embattled Hollywood mogul’s former company meant he was essentially a partial owner.

In a separate statement, remaining Weinstein Company board member Tarak Ben Ammar said, “We believe that Colony’s investment and sponsorship will help stabilize the company’s current operations, as well as provide comfort to our critical distribution, production and talent partners around the world.” Even though the board fired Harvey, the fallout from numerous investigations by the Times and The New Yorker has resulted in significant financial falloutfor the company. What’s more, Harvey has been booted from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — a move that immediately called into question the membership of others.

James Corden Has Apologizes for amfAR Jokes About Harvey Weinstein

The 'Late Late Show' host was criticized by Rose McGowan and Asia Argento for his quips, which received a mixed response at the L.A. gala on Friday night.

James Corden has apologized for his jokes about Harvey Weinstein at Friday night's amfAR gala in Los Angeles.

The Late Late Show host, who emceed the event, made light of the sexual harassment and assault allegations against Weinstein. The quips received a mixed response in the room, and later actresses Rose McGowan and Asia Argento, who have accused Weinstein of sexual assault, slammed Corden for his comments.

Corden began by joking, “Right here in L.A., it’s so beautiful, Harvey Weinstein has already asked tonight up to his hotel to give him a massage." After hearing the mixed response, he added, “I don’t know whether that groan was that you like that joke or you don’t like that joke. If you don’t like that joke, you should probably leave now.”

Nobody left, ipresstv reporter observed, and Corden continued: “It has been weird this week watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water. Ask any of the women who watched him take a bath — it's weird watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water.”

He also said — referencing the account of TV reporter Lauren Sivan, who claims Weinstein masturbated in front of her and ejaculated into a potted plant — “Harvey Weinstein wanted to come tonight, but he’ll settle for whatever potted plant is closest.”

Corden himself took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to apologize for what he said.

The Weinstein allegations were addressed by many late-night talk show hosts over the past week, including Corden himself, who joked about the sexual-harassment allegations against the mogul on Monday night's edition of CBS' The Late Late Show. But in many cases, including the jokes from Corden's colleagues, including Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee and Seth Meyers, any Weinstein remarks also included strong condemnations of his alleged behavior.

And both Meyers and Saturday Night Live's Michael Che have acknowledged that sexual assault and harassment are sensitive issues that are tough to joke about.
