The new trailer of the 'Black Panther' trailer got us so hyped

The holidays just got happier for those counting the days until the release of Black Panther.

Marvel dropped an action-packed 30-second trailer for the film co-written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

"It is your time," Angela Bassett's character assures the movie's star Chadwick Boseman, but he'll have to go through Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger first.

Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Andy Serkis and Forest Whitaker also appear in the flick that arrives in theaters on Feb. 16.

Cersei Lannister Is Now Dany in This First 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Pictures

Game of Thrones' final season may not be airing until 2019, but the cast is pretty happy to tease everyone about what's going down during shooting—which yes, they've all likely started back in Belfast right now.

Lena Headey confirmed so much in her own behind-the-scenes shot from a wig fitting. She's basically Cersei Lannister posing as Daenerys alongside hair designer Kevin Alexander and hair supervisor Candice Banks, who wear their own old Dany wigs.

WATCH TRAILER FOR THE BREATHTAKING 'THE LITTLE MERMAID' LIVE ACTION MOVIE

The first trailer for the live-action The Little Mermaid movie is here, and it looks breathtaking. Based on Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale rather than the Disney movie, this new take follows a young girl (Loreto Peralta) who discovers a beautiful, enchanting woman who she believes is the real "Little Mermaid."




The girl's older brother Cam (William Moseley) is a reporter, and travels with his sister to a small town in Mississippi to find the maybe-mermaid in question, who is played by Downton Abbey's Poppy Drayton. Shirley MacLaine features prominently in the trailer as a mysterious woman with intimate knowledge of the Little Mermaid's story.

The Little Mermaid will be released later this year.

9 Worst Movie Couples Who Never Should Have Been Together

People love a good romance, but some movie couples are just not destined to be. It might be because they have terrible chemistry, it could be because they have nothing in common, or it could just be because one half of the couple is a total douche.

Here are nine awful couples who have no business being together:

1. Andy and Nate in The Devil Wears Prada

She's got a great job that's obviously important to her that requires dedication and long hours. He's a total dick to her about it. Andy (Anne Hathaway) and Nate (Adrian Grenier) have zero chemistry, and it's hard to see what they have in common. He's completely unsupportive of her the whole way through, telling her she's got no integrity because she decides to go to Paris when she'd have been fired if she'd said no. She'd be better off without him. 

2. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Dude, that's your best friend's little sister. You've known her since she was 11. I don't think this relationship is super-healthy for either of them since they're brought together during a massively traumatic time and neither has really had much of a chance to, um, investigate other options before getting MARRIED AND HAVING KIDS. Also, it's a bit like Harry is dating Ron.

3. Aurora and Jim in Passengers

A better version of Passengers would be a movie where would-be colonist Jim (Chris Pratt) accidentally wakes up 120 years early and deliberately wakes up fellow passenger Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence). It wouldn't be a love story, but a horribly claustrophobic revenge horror. Jim has condemned Aurora to death with only him for company for the rest of her life, and when she's quite rightly pissed off and won't speak to him, he bothers her constantly over the ship's PA system. Not a recipe for romance.

4. Bella and Edward in Twilight

He's mopey, miserable, deadly dangerous and about a century older than her. She's sulky and absolutely no fun. Not a couple who should be together for an actual eternity, and not a couple people would want to spend any time with at all.

5. Anna and Will in Notting Hill

Julia Roberts again, but this time she's the one with money and power, instead of a personality. She's a famous movie star who chats up humble book shop owner Hugh Grant even though she's dating someone else, which she fails to tell him. Then when the press get wind of their relationship she has a massive go at him and dumps him even though it's not his fault. She doesn't bother to contact him for months, slags him off to a co-star and then somehow at the finale he ends up apologizing to her. Now THAT is star power. 

6. Jamie and Aurelia in Love Actually


Never mind that he's clearly massively on the rebound having just learned that his girlfriend is cheating on him with his brother, Jamie (Colin Firth) and his Portuguese housekeeper Aurelia (Lucia Moniz) don't even speak the same language. That doesn't stop him from learning just enough Portuguese to propose, and her summoning just enough English to accept, though.

7. Anakin and Padme in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

There's zero chemistry between awful Hayden Christensen and cold Natalie Portman. He's playing an irritating and petulant teenager, while she's just dull. So when they met it was... boring. It's hard to think of a couple to give less of a sh*t about. And did I mention he was a pre-teen when they met? She groomed him, basically.

8. Sandy and Danny in Grease

Summer loving is nice, but greaser Danny and good girl Sandy don't exactly make a great couple. Both go to great lengths to change themselves in order to impress the other, with Danny becoming a track runner and Sandy squishing herself into a cat suit and taking up smoking cigs. Never gonna work.

9. Sara and Alex "Hitch" in Hitch

These two getting together feels like a sham. Both were in it for the wrong reasons from the start, with Sara trying to dig up dirt on Hitch's clients, and Hitch just trying to prove to himself that his manipulative coupling techniques actually work. Even though they end up dating in the end, it just doesn't seem right.

7 New Photos Of Game of Thrones Season 7 Just Release

Some new Game of Thrones photos came out over the weekend. HBO’s international distributors released some images from the upcoming seventh season, including a first look at the return of Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer), another of The Hound (Rory McCann) looking a bit chilly, another angle on Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) on the beach at Dragonstone, and more, including a couple behind-the-scenes images.

Season 7 Of Game Of Thrones is Going To Be So So Longer Than We Thought According To HBO

The upcoming seventh season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" will apparently break stuntmen-burning records. But that's not all -- it'll feature longer episodes than any previous season. 

HBO has updated its website with the run times of each episode of season 7, as spotted by Watchers on the Wall. The seventh episode, the season finale, will be no less than 81 minutes.





The penultimate episode is no slouch either, running 71 minutes -- around 16 minutes longer than your average "Game of Thrones" episode. The first five episodes mostly run a touch longer than average (55 minutes), at 59, 59, 63 and 50 and 59 minutes respectively. 

The episode lengths may allay concerns longtime fans have had over the shorter season length -- the seventh season is three episodes shorter than the previous six seasons. Next year's season, scheduled to be the final chapter of HBO's "Game of Thrones", will only have six episodes.

The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" debuts on July 16. Get keen.

Voldemort Prequel Gets Approval From Warner Bros.

Another Harry Potter movie, anyone? Well, of sorts.
The origins of this movie lie firmly in the strange world of the 'fan film', with a group of Potter fanatics raising £13,200 to launch what - perhaps uncharacteristically for fan films - seems like a very slick, professional production.











Looks like all their work has paid off - Voldemort: Origin Of The Heir has now been given the go-ahead from Warner Bros. - the team behind the original series of Harry Potter films. Their approval means that it will stream later this year.
The smart and sleek production is reflected in the trailer, which looks as dark yet gripping as the later films in the series. Good news? See for yourself:


The movie stars Stefano Rossi as the young Tom Marvolo Riddle, the future Dark Lord Voldemort himself, during his rise to power. Maddalena Orcali, meanwhile, plays a brand new character: Grisha MacLaggen, the heir to Gryffindor.

Warner Bros. have already thrown some weight behind their own Potter prequels, with the recent hit Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, the story of 'magizoologist' Newt Scamander, proving a big success.

Initially, the movie production giants had served a warning notice to Tryangle Films, the team behind the Voldemort prequel. They even told the company's creators to abandon the project - but now they've done a U-turn.

It's unsure why WB made the 180-degree twist, but details such as Tryangle not taking on the project for profit, and their plans to distribute the film online for free, may have helped.

One of the founders of Tryangle, Gianmaria Pezzatto, told Polygon: "We wondered, 'What made Tom Riddle become Voldemort? What happened in those years, and what really went down at Hogwarts when he came back?'

"There are some clues in the books which have not been transposed at all in the movies, but a lot goes unspoken.

"This is the story we want to tell: the rise of the Dark Lord before Harry Potter and his first demise."

It means there's life in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter franchise yet - Fantastic Beasts ends well before Dumbledore goes to collect Tom Riddle from his orphanage.

The trailer for the film has gained over 30 million views on Facebook and over two million on YouTube.

Voldemort, played by Ralph Fiennes, appeared at number seven on a recent IGN poll of the top 100 movie villains.

The winning villain went to Star Wars' Darth Vader - The Joker, Dracula, GLaDOS, Dr Doom, and Magneto all filled in the gaps in between.

The new trailer sets up a dire time for Cersei and Jamie—surrounded on all sides by enemies old and new—Daenerys’ invasion, and Jon Snow’s rise to leading the North against the oncoming deadly threat of the White Walkers.

The Truth Why The 'Dirty Dancing' Remake Was Surprisingly Ended

If you were confused by what happened at the end of ABC's Dirty Dancing TV movie musical, then consider yourself in good company. (If you haven't watched and don't want to know, then skip ahead.)

"It was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what’s happening?! It’s still going!’" Colt Prattes (who plays Johnny Castle) told us. "I felt a little bit like a kid with a secret [when I initially read that part in the script]. I was so excited like, ‘I know something no one else knows!’ [But it wasn't done] for shock value or a stunt."

That "ending" saw Johnny and Baby reunite 10 years after their initial meeting at Kellerman's. It's 1975, and Johnny Castle has brought Dirty Dancing to life as a Broadway musical in New York City. Frances (because who thinks she goes by "Baby" anymore?) decides it's worth taking a trip down memory lane; for the next three hours, she watches her teenage self carry a watermelon and make out with an Elvis impersonator. (Kidding! Although that was some hair that Colt Prattes was sporting.)

It turns out Frances is now married with an adorable young daughter. She's writing books and taking salsa classes once a week at the local Jewish Community Center. Johnny, is, apparently, still Johnny (though with 70's style hair), and credits Baby with inspiring him. At the end of the musical, the two share a hug and Johnny meets Frances' daughter. He urges his former teen love to "keep dancing."

But how did that extra scene come to be? That's where Dirty Dancing writer Jessica Sharzer comes in. Taking on the task of a lifetime, Sharzer had to keep the story and tone the same as the movie version, while adding scenes and developing existing characters. So what was the real deal behind Johnny and Baby's big reunion? And did she have to get permission from the original screenwriter? Here, she explains all.

IPRESSTV: What was the reason behind that decision to fast-forward 10 years at the end and catch up with Baby and Johnny?

Jessica Sharzer: It’s the ‘70s. There were two considerations that led to that. One, is that people have such nostalgia for this movie, and one question was always, "I wonder what happened to Johnny and Baby?" So we felt for fun, if we’re going to re-do it, why not answer that question? The other thought was that by putting a frame around it, where she’s actually going to see the Broadway musical of her life—and Dirty Dancing was turned into a Broadway musical—that it actually gave permission for the musical numbers. So, the framing device sort of served both of those ideas.

IPRESSTV: What do you hope the audience takes away from that moment? Do you hope they're shocked? Satisfied?

Jessica Sharzer: You never forget your first love, and I’m very interested in first loves. In fact, the very first job I got in Hollywood was to write a screenplay called “First Love.” So I’ve always been interested in first loves because it’s really a bittersweet thing. It’s not usually the love that you sustain for the rest of your life, and there’s something very immature about it. It’s a very dramatic experience, and so, for me, it was interesting to see where did their lives land them later. It was less about what happened between them because it was never really [a thought] that we were going to throw them together as husband and wife. It was more about how did that summer change them permanently in terms of their direction in life? I don’t think it’s going to particularly shock audiences, but I hope it’s satisfying to just answer that question and to see that this first love—for her—was sort of awkward and geeky, [and] that it led her somewhere in her life.

IPRESSTV: Did you have to get permission from the original writers to make that decision?

Jessica Sharzer: I didn’t have to do that. We really had permission to take the ball and run with it.

IPRESSTV: This version is about an hour longer than the original film. What additions did you look forward to incorporating?

Jessica Sharzer: We decided to add a lot for the parents because they cast these amazing actors [Bruce Greenwood and Debra Messing] and wanted to give them something to do beyond what was in the original, especially the mother. And we also wanted to expand the sister’s role because in the original movie she’s more comic relief, which is great, but for us, we wanted to really dive into the sister relationship and dive into her psychology. You know, how she’s different from Baby and how the two of them come to learn about each other and mutually respect each other by the end. So we really dove into those family stories. It was just a lot of fun. It was a really fun job.

IPRESSTV: From a feminist angle, was there anything you pushed for to make this version even more empowering than the original?

Jessica Sharzer: Baby was always a deeply empowering character. But I think the story of the mother is definitely what I would call a feminist awakening in the sense that she always expected her life to play out a certain way. She’s been a housewife, and that’s been fine, but now she’s about to be an empty-nester, and for the first time ever, she considers how her life could look different. She had assumed she would just stay put and however happy or unhappy she was, that was her lot in life. But meeting this divorced woman—Vivian Pressman—actually plants a seed in her mind that she doesn’t have to accept less than what she wants. To me, there’s no more feminist idea than that. That’s the ultimate feminist idea. I think it’s a really beautiful arc for Debra Messing to play, and I think it’s honestly a very contemporary story in that way. I’m divorced myself, and the arc from going to married to divorce or even considering it is really scary. It’s a really scary prospect for a woman to consider, "What will my life look like? Will I lose my friends? Will I lose my standing in society? Will I lose my church? Will my kids turn on me?" There’s a lot of big considerations. The fact that she goes all the way there shows how unhappy she is being so alienated from her husband. It makes a big statement to him that he, in turn, comes around.

IPRESSTV: Was there every any talk about splitting them up for good or was that not an option?

Jessica Sharzer: No, that was never an option—and not because we needed a happy ending. They are ultimately right for each other, and he consciously or unconsciously needs that wake-up call as much as she does. It’s the place [Kellerman’s resort] where they met and fell in love, which was actually a studio executive’s idea—that this was the place they met and fell in love—and I said, "Wow, that’s a great idea!" So I used it. She’s bringing him back there to rekindle the romance, and it works. It just works not right away.

IPRESSTV: Vivian Pressman’s role was expanded in this version. How did that come about?

Jessica Sharzer: It actually started as a music conversation, that she should have a musical number and that we should cast someone who can sing and dance. Of course, Katey Sagal, is an incredible singer and dancer. She also served a very important role in the mother’s story. So, really, that role could be much bigger than in the original and we could cast someone bigger, which we did. It felt right.

IPRESSTV: Was there any chance of having anyone from the original movie make a cameo in this version?

Jessica Sharzer: I didn’t have anything to do with this, but apparently Jennifer Grey was approached to have a role in it. I’m actually not sure which role. I imagine it was one of the two female leads, like Vivian Pressman or the mom, but I don’t even know. But she declined. I think for her, she said in the press, that she has such a unique memory of playing that role and it followed her throughout her entire life that it just would feel strange for her to come back, which makes perfect sense to me.

Johnny Depp Will Star in Dark Comedy 'King of the Jungle'

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa will direct the film about John McAfee, creator of the McAfee antivirus software.

Johnny Depp will star in King of the Jungle, a dark comedy based on the true story of John McAfee, creator of the McAfee antivirus software.









Glenn Ficarra and John Requa will direct from a script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The project is an adaptation of a Wired article by Joshua Davis. The feature is from Condé Nast Entertainment, Zaftig Films, MadRiver Pictures and Epic Entertainment.

The article, John McAfee’s Last Stand, followed McAfee, who cashed in his fortune, left civilization and moved to the jungle in Belize. There, he set-up a Colonel Kurtz-like compound of guns, sex and madness. In the film, a Wired magazine investigator accepts what he thinks is a run-of-the-mill assignment to interview McAfee, but once he arrives in Belize, he finds himself pulled into McAfee’s escalating paranoia, slippery reality and murder.

The movie will be produced by Condé Nast’s Dawn Ostroff and Jeremy Steckler; Zaftig’s Charlie Gogolak, Ficarra and Requa; and Epic’s Joshua Davis. MadRiver’s Marc Butan and Epic’s Joshuah Bearman will executive produce.

IMR International is handling foreign sales at Cannes, with CAA repping domestic rights.

Depp will soon be seen in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and his other upcoming films include Fox’s Murder on the Orient Express, Miramax’s LAbyrinth and Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2. The actor is repped by CAA.

The Teaser Trailer For ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Is Out (Watch)

In anticipation of the seventh season of “Game of Thrones” this summer, HBO has released the first official teaser.

Titled “Long Walk,” the 90-second video features Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) taking a long walk to take a seat at the Iron Throne. The promo ends with Cersei taking a deep breath on the throne, and then flashes to the Night King at the end of the video.

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO.
