'The Bachelor' stars Arie Luyendyk Jr.and Lauren Burnham are expecting their first child!

'The Bachelor' couple Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham have a baby on the way! The soon-to-be parents got engaged in March and are all set to marry in January. Is the date going to be pushed with a baby on the way? The happy couple shared with US Weekly, how they found out that Burnham was pregnant.“I kind of had a feeling that I might be pregnant.

So my friend insisted on bringing a pregnancy test over,” said Lauren. “Arie came out with the test in his hand and tears in his eyes. He was like, ‘You’re pregnant!’”, she continued. They both further revealed how they bought 6 more pregnancy tests just to make sure! “We weren’t trying, but we are so excited. It’s going to be a whole new chapter in our lives,” said Arie.

Given that their wedding is in January, will things change now that Lauren is pregnant? She reveals, "The first thing we thought of was, 'Oh, my gosh. Our wedding!' Obviously, we're not married yet, but this is the way it happened." She continued, "And this is probably the way it was meant to happen!" Looks like the couple doesn't plan on changing their wedding date.
E! News reports that Lauren spoke about how her first trimester was rather difficult. "I had really bad morning sickness and barely left the house. But over the last week, I've started feeling a lot better, so it's nice to have my energy back," says the mom-to-be. She's happy that her fiance takes care of most things around the house, which has been a great help to her. 37-year-old Arie already has predictions for the kind of parents he thinks the couple will be. He thinks he's going to be "such a softie" whereas his fiance is "a little bit more of the disciplinarian." Burnham jokingly added, "We're kind of basing it off of how we parent our dogs!"

Lauren and Arie have had quite the rollercoaster relationship. They got engaged eight months ago on 'The Bachelor'. Arie had originally proposed to Becca Kufrin, 28, but realized he still had feelings for the runner-up on the show, Lauren. After a heartbreaking break-up with Becca on TV, that faced a major backlash from fans all over, he got engaged to Burnham and the couple has been together ever since! Becca got another chance at her happily ever after, as she went on to star on 'The Bachelorette' and is now engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen. Lauren and Arie, with their baby on board, are set to marry in Hawaii on January 2019.

Malia Obama told dad Barack to 'just be cool' when a boy she liked came to pick her up for prom night

Michelle Obama's new novel 'Becoming' is causing waves all over the country and, apart from giving a stinging criticism of Donald Trump, the book also speaks about quite a few sweet moments that the former First Family shared, including untold details about daughter Malia’s prom night. According to the book, which officially hits the stands on Tuesday, a 16-year-old Malia reportedly begged the First Lady and the President to "be cool" on her special night. “Just be cool please, okay?” she said to her parents.

In 2015 spring, Malia told her parents that she’d been invited to prom “by a boy she kind of liked,” wrote Michelle in the book. At the time, Malia and her sister Sasha, who were inherently First Daughters owing to their father's presidential post, weren’t permitted to travel in vehicles with anyone who wasn’t in the Secret Service.

But, for that particular day, Barack decided to make an "exception" for his daughter's sake. “On the appointed evening, her date arrived in his car,” the former first lady wrote. She added, “...clearing security at the southeast gate of the White House, following the path up and around the South Lawn by which heads of state and other visiting dignitaries normally arrived, and then gamely — bravely — walking into the Dip Room dressed in a black suit.”
It was then that Malia asked her parents to be cool. “Her embarrassment [had] already [begun] to smolder as we rode the elevator downstairs,” she wrote in the book. “I was barefoot, and Barack was in flip-flops. Malia wore a long black skirt and an elegant bare-shouldered top. She looked beautiful and about twenty-three years old.”

While Malia “still laughs” and remembers their encounter with her date as “a bit excruciating,” Michelle says in her book that she and her husband did manage to pull off their daughter’s request after all. However, there is a special reason as to how the former president was able to calmly handle the situation, something he discussed in a 2016 interview.
“The truth is, I’m pretty relaxed about it for two reasons,” he said at the time. “One is Michelle — she’s such a great example of how she carries herself, her self-esteem, not depending on boys to validate how you look or not letting yourself be judged by anything other than your character and intelligence.” He added, “Hopefully I’ve been a good example in terms of how I show respect to my wife.” The second reason he doesn’t worry about his daughters is more straightforward: “They have Secret Service.”

When remembering Malia’s prom night, Michelle also delved into how she also took comfort in knowing her daughter had a Secret Service detail. “Barack and I shook the young man’s hand, snapped a few pictures, and gave our daughter a hug before sending them on their way,” she wrote.
“We took what was perhaps unfair comfort in the knowledge that Malia’s security detail would basically ride the boy’s bumper all the way to the restaurant where they were going for dinner before the dance and would remain on quiet duty throughout the night.”

Michelle Obama reveals she suffered a 'devastating' miscarriage and that she and Barack Obama had marriage counselling

From the outside, Michelle and Barack Obama have it all. An eight-year run in the White House, two successful careers,  two beautiful daughters and a loving marriage.

However, Michelle is here to let you know that nothing is ever as perfect as it seems.
In a new interview with Good Morning America, the 54-year-old revealed that she and her husband used IVF to conceive her children after suffering a devastating miscarriage.

In addition, she confessed she and Barack had been through marriage counseling, and spoke out about her true feelings on President Donald Trump, branding him a "misogynist" who made her "body buzz with fury".
The former lawyer told host Robin Roberts that losing the baby 20 years ago had left her feeling "lost and alone", adding that women need to know that miscarriages are incredibly common.
"I felt like I failed because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them," she said, "We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken. That’s one of the reasons why I think it’s important to talk to young mothers about the fact that miscarriages happen... I think it’s the worst thing that we do to each other as women, not share the truth about our bodies and how they work."
When she was 34, the former First Lady realised that "the biological clock is real," and "egg production is limited". Soon after, the couple turned to IVF, finally acknowledging they "had to do" it.

This fertility treatment eventually led to the couple conceiving their two daughters, Malia, 20, and Sasha, 17.
Michelle - who was on GMA to promote her new memoir, Becoming - also opened up about her marriage, admitting that, although she and Barack often seem like the ideal couple from the outside, this isn't always the case.
The pair underwent marriage counseling when they hit a rocky patch in the past, something that the mother-of-two thoroughly recommends.
"Marriage counseling for us was one of those ways where we learned how to talk out our differences," she explained. "I know too many young couples who struggle and think that somehow there’s something wrong with them. And I want them to know that Michelle and Barack Obama, who have a phenomenal marriage and who love each other, we work on our marriage. And we get help with our marriage when we need it."

Michelle's new book delves into the turbulent world of American politics, with the former FLOTUS making her feelings on President Trump perfectly clear.
In the memoir, the 54-year-old accuses him of putting her family in danger, naming the former businessman's unfounded claims that her husband was secretly a foreign-born Muslim as "crazy and mean-spirited" with an undercurrent of "bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed."
"But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks," she writes. "What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this, I’d never forgive him."

Furthermore, she speaks out about Trump's now-infamous "grab her by the p***y" moment, claiming her "body buzzed with fury after hearing it".
She names the former reality TV star a "misogynist," comparing him to his rival Hillary Clinton, who she calls "an exceptionally-qualified female candidate."
Michelle Obama’s full interview will air on ABC at 9PM EST Sunday.

Mom gives birth at grocery store with help of cashier

The mother, pictured left at the checkout counter in a red coat, told her cashier that she couldn't wait any longer and that her baby was coming any minute. (East2West News)

CCTV captured the moment a mom went into labor at a supermarket checkout - and gave birth just 11 minutes later with help from a cashier.
The Russian woman, 28, is seen clutching the side of the counter as she realizes her baby is on its way urgently.
Seconds later she was on the floor by the register as staff rushed to gather towels in the shop in Nazyvaevsk, near Omsk.
Cashier Elena Barsukova, 35, took on the role of midwife aided by a colleague and two shoppers.
Barsukova, seen covering her face in shock, later admitted she briefly panicked after realizing the baby really was on the way.
“There was no time to think," she said.
One shopper helped lower the woman to the floor and removed her lower clothing.
But astonishingly other shoppers continued to make their purchases as if nothing was happening.
A man in camouflage uniform can be seen entering and briefly looking over at the drama before wandering out of view.
Anna Tsybulskaya, 40, manager of the Nizkotsen (Low Prices) supermarket, said: “Everything happened so quickly.
“An employee came running from the supermarket floor and said that a girl was giving birth there, so I called an ambulance and then went to see what was happening," Tsybulskaya said. “By then the child was already on the mother’s tummy. The baby was born before the ambulance arrived.”
The video shows paramedics arriving, and unsteadily carrying the mother away on a gurney before taking her and the newborn to the hospital.
She was only in the shop for a total of 25 minutes, and the birth itself took 11 minutes from the moment she told Barsukova she could not wait any longer.
The manager praised her checkout staff and shoppers for the successful delivery.

“None of them had a medical education. The most important thing is that everything ended well," Tsybulskaya said. “The baby is healthy, and we know that they are already at home.”
The baby boy weighed in at 8 pounds and has been named Ivan.
The mother has not been named. Reports say it was her sixth child.
Last year the moment a mum gave birth into a butcher's apron was caught on CCTV at a supermarket in Fresno, California.

Mom hilariously discovers her 20-year-old daughter's piercings due to an X-ray at the doctors

When it comes to piercings, you'll find that everyone has an opinion, and sometimes a surprisingly strong one on what is appropriate and what is not.
Some parents choose to have their kids' ears pierced at a young age, while others are firmly against piercings of any kind, and would be upset to learn that their progeny had got piercings behind their parents' backs.

Whatever your personal feelings on the subject, it probably rings true that some piercings are best left undiscussed between parent and child - for instance, nipple piercings.
This was very much the situation 20-year-old Sydney Allen of Clearwater found herself in, after her sister paid for her to get her nipples pierced back in June as a birthday present. The pair decided to keep this a secret, because, as Allen told BuzzFeed News, her mom is "a bit conservative on appearances and hates tattoos and piercings."
She reasoned that "Since I don't usually have my shirt off I thought it would be a very easy secret to keep".
Famous last words, Sydney, famous last words.
On Tuesday, during a routine checkup for the alignment of her spine - Allen has a rare condition known as syringomyelia that can build up fluid in the spinal chord - doctors took an X-ray of her spine.
Unfortunately for Allen, the X-ray showed her two nipple piercings, while her mom was sitting in the room next to her. The game was up.

"My mom saw my piercings as soon as the X-ray popped up and the doctor and I started laughing hysterically."
She says her mom went very quiet before saying "We will discuss this later."
"I was initially terrified when the X-ray came up," recalls Allen,  "but she ended up being pretty understanding since no one can tell unless I show them."

Thankfully, Allen says that the picture does make her mom laugh now. Incidentally, doctors advise patients to remove all piercings before an X-ray in case they distort or cover radiographs.
It might not have been the way that Sydney Allen would have chosen to tell her mom that she had her nipples pierced, but it actually seems to have ended very positively, and perhaps the bizarre comedy of the situation helped to break the ice.
