We are still recovering from yesterday's Instagram war between Justin Bieber andSelena Gomez that sparked an Internet meltdown. And apparently, the former couple are also having some second thoughts about what went down.
If you're trying to look back at the barbs they traded on one of Bieber's Instagram posts, don't bother—as of this morning, the singer has deleted his Instagram account and all evidence of the fight along with it (aside from screenshots taken by fans, of course). This comes after Bieber threatened to make his Instagram private following a slew of negative comments about his rumored new girlfriend, Sophia Richie. "I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate," he wrote in the caption of a photo of her. "This is getting out of hand. If you guys are really fans, you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like."
In case you missed it, that's really how this whole thing started. Gomez responded to the comment, saying it was disrespectful to all the Beliebers out there, and posted several photos of herself with fans on her own account. "If you can't handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend," she wrote. "It should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you."
Bieber then fired back: "It's funny to to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love," he said.
Gomez took things to a new level when she went on to accuse Bieber of cheating on her "multiple times" back when they were together, and Bieber clapped back by claiming that Gomez had cheated on him with none other than former One Direction member Zayn Malik. Needless to say, it was brutal.
But on Snapchat, Gomez says she regretted her part in the feud. "What I said was selfish and pointless," she wrote in a snap against a black background.
So even though things got messy, it seems like the war is officially ended. What does this all mean for the exes? Only time will tell.
