Chris Brown has been set free from jail after he was taken in by cops on Tuesday, August 30, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
The embattled R&B singer’s attorney, Mark Geragos, tweeted a message in the early hours of Wednesday morning announcing his client was no longer locked up.
Los Angeles Sheriff Department inmate records also show Brown was released on $250,000 bail at 11.19pm.
Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false#TeamBreezy
The 27-year-old was arrested after a nearly 14-hour standoff at his Tarzana, California home, that only ended when police obtained a search warrant to enter the residence.
Beauty queen, Baylee Curran, alleged he had pointed a gun at her face during a gathering at his mansion, because she’d been admiring a diamond cross necklace.
She has since told several outlets that she feared for her life.
“I did not pick it up, I did not touch it, take it or grab it, anything to that sort," she told E! News, adding that Brown then appeared.
“Chris came in, pulled out his gun and said, 'I’m getting so sick of you people,' pointed the gun at me, [and told me] to get the eff out of the house,” she claimed to Extra.
Brown posted a foul-mouthed video to Instagram declaring his innocence during the standoff.
"You’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing," he said in one message after verbally attacking the police for making him out to be a villain.
He said he was “asleep half the damn night” and that “it’s always gon’ be f--k the police.”
Brown will appear in court on September 20, according to the Sheriff’s records.
