CeeLo Green appeared to be injured after his cell phone exploded in his ear in newly surfaced CCTV video.
In the surveillance footage, which went viral on Saturday, December 17, a man that appears to be the "Forget You" singer, 42, is pictured sitting at a mixing console inside a recording studio. At one point, he takes a break for a phone call, but the phone suddenly starts smoking and bursts into flames. Within seconds, he falls out of his chair and onto the floor.
The video doesn't include a timestamp, so it's unclear when the incident occurred. Green's rep did not immediately respond to IPRSSTV's request for comment to confirm the legitimacy of the video and the star's condition.
As the clip went viral, several stars and fans took to social media to express their concern for the former Voice coach.
"Sooo manyyyy prayers & light to you brother!!!! I [pray] your hearing is ok!!!" singer Omarion wrote on Twitter. Actor Rob Lowe added, "How can Elon Musk make a car that drives itself, but Samsung can't make a phone that doesn't explode in your face?" (Samsung withdrew its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone earlier this year after reports that the devices were catching fire. It is unclear if the man in the video was using a Samsung phone.)
