What To Learn From Tommy Ford's Death

A lot of the time there are no symptoms or warning signs of aneurysms, so doctors could very well miss them if they aren’t directly looking in certain areas. “When do we do a brain imaging? — During trauma or with unexplained headaches, altered mental status and things like that,” Dr. Richardson-Te said, emphasizing that most of the time they go unnoticed because specific testing only happens during select medical needs.

However, please note this is not Tommy’s official or confirmed cause of death.

Tommy underwent knee replacement surgery Sept. 28, barely a week before his untimely passing. A lot of concerned fans were wondering if his surgery had something to do with his death. Like Dr. Richardson-Te EXCLUSIVELY told us, “A knee surgery would not cause an aneurysm. The aneurysm is totally unrelated.”

The Martin star was hospitalized in Atlanta, GA, Oct. 9 and placed on life support after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen. His family made the difficult decision to take him off life support, and his wife, Gina, confirmed the sad news to TMZ.

Following his tragic passing, Tommy’s family released the following statement: “It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Son, father, brother, husband, and friend Tommy Mykhal Ford. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming. Please respect the privacy of the Ford family during our time of grief.” Celebrities have been spreading their messages of love and sadness after their dear friend and colleague sadly passed.

Our thoughts go out to Tommy’s friends and family during this tough time.
