VIDEO SURFACES ONLINE SHOWING TUPAC IN JAIL SAYING HIS FRIENDS GOT HIM SHOT

Tupac is still providing nuggets of wisdom, even two decades after his death. Outside of the people who are still discovering his music daily, there’s a whole trove of archival footage and stories that come up around the rapper and reveal more about who he was.

Pete Rock just shared footage of Tupac in prison where you can start to see the paranoid beginnings of his later work. Rock noted on Instagram that Tupac is sharing some wise words about trust, but it’s possible that you might find the recently shot Pac to be overly negative.

“It’s a humbling experience to learn like this,” Rock wrote alongside the clip. “Clean your life up of bad energy, these people give themselves away not even giving a damn 🀷🏾‍♂️ Strive to be your best self and surround yourself with people who genuinely love you. 😎✊πŸΎπŸ’―πŸŽ― R.I.P. 2Pac.”

In the video, Tupac reveals that he doesn’t consider anyone his friend and shares that he knows the men who shot him.

“I don’t got no friends. I don’t got no friends. I got supporters. People on my side and people on the other side,” he said. “Watch people. Because you can fake for a long time but one day, you’re going to show yourself to be phony.”
